Monument of Triumph also introduced three major new subclass Aspects:
Crackshot for Solar Hunter
Soul Siphon for Void Warlock
Shieldburst for Solar Titan
These additions significantly expanded the number of viable mono-element builds available to each class.
There is no universal build that wins every activity.
The best raid DPS setup is not necessarily the best build for solo PvE.
The best Trials setup may be poor in a dungeon.
This guide therefore gives every class a strong PvE build and PvP build, followed by useful alternatives.

How Armor Stats Work in Current Destiny 2 Builds
Older guides referencing Mobility, Resilience, Recovery, Discipline, Intellect, and Strength are outdated for modern Armor 3.0 gear.
Current Armor 3.0 uses six major stats:
Health
Melee
Grenade
Super
Class
Weapons
These stats can scale beyond 100, up to 200.
For offensive ability stats, investing beyond 100 can provide additional damage as well as cooldown benefits. Bungie specifically recommends focusing on the stats relevant to your chosen build instead of trying to maximize everything.
Health
Health is one of the safest investments for difficult PvE and competitive PvP.
It improves survivability-related effects and makes mistakes less punishing.
If you are frequently dying before your build activates, increasing Health is normally more useful than squeezing a little more theoretical damage out of another stat.
Class
Class affects your class ability.
That means:
Monument of Triumph made Class especially important for several ability-focused builds.
Both Hunter Crackshot and Titan Shieldburst deal increased damage when your Class stat exceeds 100.
Grenade
Grenade investment improves grenade uptime and eventually grenade damage.
It is particularly valuable for Warlock builds centered around turrets, Solar grenades, Void grenades, Threadlings, or other grenade-driven loops.
Warlock construct damage also continues to scale through Grenade rather than Class.
Melee
Melee improves powered-melee uptime and damage.
It is especially important for builds such as:
Void Soul Siphon Warlock
Consecration Titan
Combination Blow Hunter
Thunderclap Titan
Strand melee builds
Super
Super investment supports Super-oriented builds.
However, Monument of Triumph reduced Super generation from boss damage substantially, specifically to reduce extreme Super-spam damage phases.
Bungie's stated intention is that Supers remain strong but work alongside weapons and other abilities rather than completely replacing them.
Weapons
Weapons is ideal for players whose build revolves primarily around gunplay.
It becomes particularly attractive for PvP builds and PvE setups where your Exotic armor enhances weapon performance rather than abilities.
Armor Archetypes Matter
Monument of Triumph expanded Armor 3.0 to 12 archetypes.
The six additional archetypes include:
Siegebreaker – Health / Grenade
Skirmisher – Melee / Weapons
Demolitionist – Grenade / Class
Colossus – Super / Health
Reaver – Class / Melee
Powerhouse – Weapons / Super
Bungie also improved Ghost Armorer focusing so your selected archetype has approximately a one-in-two chance of appearing rather than the previous one-in-three chance.
This makes targeted buildcrafting considerably easier.
Do not ask, "Which archetype is best?"
Ask, "Which two stats does my build actually need?"
Exotic Armor Is More Valuable in Armor 3.0
All current Armor 3.0 Exotic armor has Tier 5 stat behavior and access to tuning mods.
That change applies retroactively to eligible Armor 3.0 Exotic pieces rather than forcing players to reacquire every Exotic they already own.
This means your Exotic should usually be the centerpiece of your build.
Choose the Exotic first.
Then build your stat distribution, subclass configuration, and weapons around what that Exotic is trying to accomplish.
Best Hunter PvE Build – Solar Crackshot Gunslinger
Subclass: Solar Gunslinger
Exotic Armor: Wormhusk Crown
Primary Focus: Class ability damage, healing, Scorch, Ignitions
Best For: General endgame PvE, solo content, dungeons, Portal activities
Solar Hunter became considerably more interesting with the arrival of Crackshot.
Crackshot allows the Hunter to mark targets while aiming and then activate their class ability to fire up to three scorching Solar shots.
If all three shots connect, the Hunter receives Cure.
The ability can target one enemy with all three shots or divide them across several marked enemies, and its damage increases when your Class stat exceeds 100.
This gives Hunter something extremely valuable:
A Dodge that contributes to offense and survival simultaneously.
Recommended Exotic – Wormhusk Crown
Wormhusk Crown received a substantial Monument of Triumph rework.
Its current intrinsic effect grants Cure whenever you activate your class ability.
Rapid Solar final blows also build Burning Souls, which strengthens Solar ability damage and improves the Dodge healing effect.
That naturally fits Crackshot.
You Dodge.
Wormhusk heals you.
Crackshot fires Solar shots.
Those shots Scorch enemies.
Continued Solar kills strengthen the Exotic's additional effects.
It creates a simple and reliable loop.
Recommended Aspects
Use:
Crackshot damage contributes toward On Your Mark and Gunpowder Gamble progression, which Bungie specifically highlighted when introducing the Aspect.
Choose On Your Mark if you want stronger general weapon handling and a smoother neutral game.
Choose Gunpowder Gamble if you prefer additional explosive Solar ability damage.
Recommended Stat Priority
Prioritize:
Class
Health
Weapons or Grenade
Getting Class above 100 is particularly valuable because Crackshot's damage scales beyond that threshold.
Health makes the build safer.
Your third priority depends on whether you want stronger gunplay or more grenade-focused Solar gameplay.
Recommended Weapons
Use Solar weapons capable of supporting your Scorch and Ignition loop.
Good weapon roles include:
A weapon with Heal Clip can add another layer of survivability.
Solar synergy is useful, but do not sacrifice an excellent boss-damage weapon merely because its element does not match your subclass.
How the Build Plays
Mark important enemies before Dodging.
Activate Crackshot.
Land the three shots.
Use the resulting Cure and Wormhusk healing to remain aggressive.
Continue dealing Solar damage and building toward Scorch and Ignitions.
Your class ability is no longer simply an escape button.
It becomes part of your damage rotation.
Why This Hunter Build Is Strong
It combines:
It is also much easier to execute than many melee-heavy Hunter builds.
Hunter PvE Alternative – Celestial Nighthawk Gunslinger
Players focused heavily on boss damage should keep a Celestial Nighthawk loadout available.
Celestial Nighthawk modifies Golden Gun into one high-damage precision shot and refunds Super energy when that shot defeats its target.
This setup sacrifices some of the neutral-game utility available from Wormhusk in exchange for stronger burst Super damage.
Use it when an encounter has:
A reliable precision point
Short damage windows
A boss where burst damage matters
Enough survivability from teammates or encounter mechanics
Do not use Nighthawk simply because a boss exists.
If staying alive is the difficult part of an encounter, Wormhusk or another neutral-game Exotic may provide more practical value.
Best Hunter PvP Build – Solar Wormhusk Duelist
Subclass: Solar Gunslinger
Exotic Armor: Wormhusk Crown
Primary Focus: Duels, Dodge healing, weapon consistency
Best For: Crucible, Trials, Competitive
Wormhusk also remains a highly practical PvP Exotic after its rework.
Activating your class ability grants Cure, giving you immediate value every time you Dodge.
That makes it extremely useful during close duels.
Recommended Aspects
A strong foundation is:
Crackshot adds offensive utility to your class ability.
However, it requires target marking and should not be treated as an automatic kill tool.
If you prefer a simpler weapon-centric playstyle, use a more traditional Solar Aspect configuration instead.
Recommended Stat Priority
Prioritize:
Health
Class
Weapons
PvP rewards consistency.
Health helps you survive duels.
Class gives you more Dodges.
Weapons supports the gunplay that ultimately decides most engagements.
Recommended Weapons
Good PvP pairings include:
Do not force the current popular weapon if you cannot consistently hit shots with it.
A comfortable weapon that you use at its correct range will outperform a theoretical meta weapon you constantly miss with.
The PvP Loop
Take an engagement.
Use cover.
If the fight turns against you, Dodge to reposition and trigger Wormhusk Cure.
Rechallenge only when you have regained the advantage.
The mistake is treating Dodge as something you must immediately use whenever it becomes available.
Keep it for the moment when movement and healing change the outcome of a duel.
Hunter PvP Alternative – Knucklehead Radar
For weapon-focused Hunters, Knucklehead Radar is an excellent alternative.
Its current Exotic perk provides:
Radar while aiming
Improved crouched radar resolution
Visual target marking
Bonus damage against low-health marked targets
A small airborne-effectiveness benefit
Knucklehead is particularly useful if you play:
Scout Rifles
Pulse Rifles
Sniper-heavy loadouts
Long sightline maps
It gives up Wormhusk's immediate healing in exchange for information.
And information wins PvP fights.
Best Warlock PvE Build – Void Soul Siphon
Subclass: Voidwalker
Exotic Armor: Nezarec's Sin
Primary Focus: Devour, Overshield, melee regeneration, ability loops
Best For: Dense PvE, solo content, dungeons, endgame activities
Void Warlock received one of the most significant Monument of Triumph additions through Soul Siphon.
Soul Siphon is prepared by striking an enemy with your powered melee.
Once readied, activating the melee again drains enemies in front of the Warlock.
The drain:
Bungie specifically designed Soul Siphon to scale well with Melee investment and pair with both Feed the Void and Child of the Old Gods.
Recommended Aspects
Use:
Feed the Void gives the build its Devour loop.
Soul Siphon then adds another survivability layer through Overshield.
You are combining healing and defensive shielding rather than depending on only one source of survival.
Recommended Exotic – Nezarec's Sin
Nezarec's Sin received direct Soul Siphon synergy in Monument of Triumph.
Targets damaged by Soul Siphon become Suppressed.
Defeating Suppressed targets or defeating enemies with Soul Siphon also extends Abyssal Extractors.
That makes Nezarec's Sin a natural fit rather than merely a generic Void Exotic.
Recommended Stat Priority
Prioritize:
Melee
Health
Class or Grenade
Melee directly supports Soul Siphon uptime and damage.
Health provides additional safety.
Class improves Rift availability, while Grenade gives more offensive Void ability pressure.
Recommended Weapons
Use a strong Void weapon when possible to reinforce Nezarec's Sin.
Good weapon concepts include:
You do not need all three weapons to be Void.
One reliable Void weapon is usually enough to keep your ability loop active.
How the Build Plays
Hit an enemy with your powered melee.
Ready Soul Siphon.
Move into an angle where several enemies are in front of you.
Activate the drain.
Gain Overshield and class ability energy.
Kill enemies to maintain Devour and Nezarec's Sin.
Use your Rift and Void abilities to keep pressure on the room.
This build becomes stronger when enemy density increases.
Why This Warlock Build Works
It stacks multiple defensive layers:
Devour
Overshield
Rift
Suppression
Crowd control
At the same time, it constantly returns ability energy.
That makes it excellent for players who want aggressive Void gameplay rather than sitting at the back of every room.
Warlock PvE Alternative – Skull of Dire Ahamkara Nova Bomb
Skull of Dire Ahamkara received a major Monument rework.
After casting Nova Bomb, the Exotic provides a brief opportunity to cast Nova Lance.
A properly timed Nova Lance can interact with Cataclysm Nova Bomb to create additional Void damage effects.
This makes Skull attractive for burst-damage encounters.
Use it when the main challenge is deleting a priority target.
Use Nezarec's Sin when neutral-game ability uptime and survivability matter more.
Warlock PvE Alternative – Prismatic Getaway Artist
Prismatic Warlock remains one of the strongest all-around options for difficult PvE.
Community endgame builds in the current Monument sandbox continue to favor Getaway Artist combinations built around Arc Soul, Bleak Watcher-style control, and Devour because they provide excellent passive battlefield control and survivability.
This is particularly useful for:
It is more complex than Soul Siphon Voidwalker but provides exceptional control.
Best Warlock PvP Build – Solar Ophidian Duelist
Subclass: Dawnblade
Exotic Armor: Ophidian Aspect
Primary Focus: Weapon handling, movement, dueling
Best For: Trials, Competitive, Crucible
Warlocks do not need an elaborate ability loop to be dangerous in PvP.
Sometimes the strongest setup is the one that simply makes your weapons and movement better.
Ophidian Aspect remains excellent for exactly that reason.
Its current Exotic effect improves:
Melee range
Weapon ready speed
Reload speed
Airborne effectiveness
Every gunfight benefits from those bonuses.
Recommended Aspects
For Dawnblade PvP, build around:
This combination provides excellent movement and aerial flexibility.
Monument of Triumph also improved Heat Rises in PvE and subsequently fixed movement behavior related to Glide, while the underlying aerial identity remains intact.
Recommended Stat Priority
Prioritize:
Health
Weapons
Class
You are building a gunfighter.
Weapons and Health therefore matter more than forcing maximum grenade damage.
Class helps maintain Rift availability.
Recommended Weapons
Ophidian Aspect works with almost anything.
Strong combinations include:
Hand Cannon + Shotgun
Hand Cannon + Sniper
Pulse Rifle + Shotgun
Scout Rifle + Sidearm
The Exotic's greatest advantage is flexibility.
It does not lock you into one weapon archetype.
How to Play It
Use Warlock movement to arrive at angles before opponents expect you.
Do not float in the open simply because you can.
Use Icarus Dash to:
Ophidian then makes your weapon swapping and follow-up engagements faster.
Warlock PvP Alternative – Transversive Steps
Players who value movement over handling can use Transversive Steps.
Its Exotic perk increases sprint speed and automatically reloads your equipped weapon after sprinting for a short period.
This is particularly useful for aggressive players who are constantly rotating between lanes.
Choose:
Ophidian Aspect for direct gunfight consistency.
Transversive Steps for movement and repositioning.
Best Titan PvE Build – Solar Shieldburst Hallowfire Heart
Subclass: Sunbreaker
Exotic Armor: Hallowfire Heart
Primary Focus: Barricades, Solar abilities, healing, Ignitions
Best For: General PvE, solo play, dungeons, team support
Solar Titan received Shieldburst with Monument of Triumph.
Shieldburst changes Barricade depending on which version you equip.
Towering Barricade slides forward across the ground before stopping.
Rally Barricade gives Solar and Kinetic weapons scorching rounds to players standing behind it.
While the Barricade remains deployed, the Titan can activate the class ability again to remotely detonate it and Scorch nearby enemies.
The blast becomes stronger as the Barricade charges, and its damage scales beyond 100 Class stat.
Recommended Aspects
Use:
Sol Invictus turns the build toward survivability and Sunspot generation.
For more aggressive damage, substitute Roaring Flames, which also increases Shieldburst damage. Bungie specifically confirmed Shieldburst synergy with both Aspects.
Recommended Exotic – Hallowfire Heart
Hallowfire Heart received a major rework.
While your Solar Super is charged, ability defeats Cure you and grant Sunfire Furnace stacks.
These stacks improve grenade and class ability regeneration and can enhance the build's Solar offensive loop.
When you eventually use your Super, remaining Furnace value interacts with Super progression afterward.
This makes Hallowfire much more than a passive cooldown Exotic.
It encourages you to actively decide whether keeping your Super charged provides more value than immediately casting it.
Recommended Stat Priority
Prioritize:
Class
Grenade
Health
Class strengthens Shieldburst above 100.
Grenade keeps Solar ability pressure high.
Health lets you stay close enough to exploit Sunspots and Barricades safely.
Recommended Weapons
Use Solar or Kinetic weapons that work naturally with Shieldburst Rally Barricade.
Good choices include:
Because Rally Barricade can grant scorching rounds to compatible weapons, weapon choice becomes part of the ability loop rather than an unrelated slot.
How the Build Plays
Deploy Rally Barricade.
Fight from behind it.
Use the weapon buff and Solar abilities to damage enemies.
Allow the Barricade to charge.
Detonate Shieldburst when enemies move into the correct area.
Create Sunspots through Sol Invictus or increase damage through Roaring Flames.
Repeat.
This is a much more active barricade playstyle than older Titan builds.
Why This Titan Build Is Strong
It combines:
It works particularly well for players who want Titan durability without giving up offensive pressure.
Titan PvE Alternative – Prismatic Consecration
Prismatic Consecration remains one of Titan's strongest aggressive PvE directions.
Current post-Monument endgame build recommendations continue to favor Prismatic combinations using Consecration, frequently paired with Exotic class-item effects such as Synthoceps-style melee enhancement and Inmost Light-style ability cycling.
The setup is excellent for:
However, it demands more active positioning than Shieldburst.
If you constantly die while trying to force melee-range attacks, use the safer Solar build instead.
Titan PvE Alternative – Stasis Behemoth
Stasis Titan also received meaningful Monument improvements.
Tectonic Harvest now interacts directly with modern Shatter Shards and Frost Armor.
While the Titan has Frost Armor, taking damage grants grenade energy, while Stasis and Kinetic weapon defeats can trigger additional Shatter effects depending on Frost Armor stacks.
Frost Armor itself was improved so stacks fall off individually and provide increased damage resistance.
This makes Behemoth a strong alternative for players who value:
Damage resistance
Stasis crowd control
Crystal shattering
Grenade uptime
Best Titan PvP Build – Arc Thruster Duelist
Subclass: Striker
Exotic Armor: One-Eyed Mask
Primary Focus: Movement, dueling, Overshield
Best For: Crucible, Trials, Competitive
Arc Titan remains a simple and dangerous PvP platform.
The foundation is Thruster.
Monument of Triumph expanded Thruster so it can now be activated while airborne, increasing its repositioning flexibility.
Pair that movement with One-Eyed Mask.
Recommended Exotic – One-Eyed Mask
One-Eyed Mask highlights opponents who damage you.
Defeating the marked target grants an Overshield.
That is extremely valuable in modes where one duel frequently leads immediately into another.
Win the first fight.
Gain protection.
Use that advantage against the next opponent.
Recommended Aspects
A reliable Striker foundation can use:
Knockout no longer provides its old increased lunge range against enemy players, so older PvP guides that rely heavily on that interaction are outdated.
It remains useful, but do not expect the extreme melee reach described in older builds.
Recommended Stat Priority
Prioritize:
Health
Weapons
Class
Health helps survive the opening duel.
Weapons supports consistency.
Class gives more Thruster availability.
Recommended Weapons
Strong combinations include:
Hand Cannon + Shotgun
Pulse Rifle + Shotgun
Scout Rifle + Sidearm
Hand Cannon + Sniper
One-Eyed Mask does not dictate a weapon archetype.
Build around your preferred engagement range.
How the Build Plays
Challenge from cover.
If an enemy damages you, note the marked target.
Use Thruster to change angle rather than standing in the same lane.
Win the duel.
Use the resulting Overshield to immediately control space.
Do not chase a marked opponent into a terrible position simply because One-Eyed Mask identified them.
The mark is information, not an instruction to abandon cover.
Titan PvP Alternative – Ward of Dawn Sentinel
Ward of Dawn received a complete Monument of Triumph redesign.
The new Ward:
Is significantly larger
Grants Void Overshield inside
Increases allied weapon damage inside
Weakens enemies inside
Increases the owner's melee damage
Can be repositioned by throwing its core
That makes Sentinel particularly interesting in objective-based PvP.
However, Ward now has a core that can be attacked in Crucible, creating counterplay that older Bubble strategies did not have in the same form. Bungie also fixed a post-launch issue where some projectiles and abilities could incorrectly pass through Ward of Dawn in PvP.
Use Ward when controlling an objective matters more than roaming aggressively.
Best Builds for Raids and Pantheon
Raid builds require more specialization than ordinary PvE builds.
Your fireteam does not need six Guardians running individually selfish setups.
Think about team roles.
Hunter Raid Role
Hunters are excellent at burst Super damage.
Celestial Nighthawk remains extremely useful when the encounter provides reliable precision opportunities.
For encounters where surviving mechanics is harder than passing a DPS check, switch back to a neutral-game Exotic.
Warlock Raid Role
Warlocks remain excellent support Guardians.
Solar Warlock builds can contribute healing and team stability, while Void and Prismatic setups provide strong personal damage and control.
For boss encounters, Skull of Dire Ahamkara can provide significant burst potential.
Titan Raid Role
Titans can shift between direct damage, survival, and defensive support.
Shieldburst Solar Titan works well when the group benefits from Barricade interaction.
Ward of Dawn offers a completely different team-support role.
Prismatic melee builds can provide enormous encounter-clearing pressure.
The important rule is:
Do not bring an add-clear build into a boss DPS encounter simply because it is your favorite loadout.
Save multiple loadouts.
Change between encounters.
Best Builds for Solo PvE
Solo PvE places survivability above almost everything else.
A build capable of enormous raid DPS may be terrible when no teammate can revive you.
Strong solo builds normally contain at least two of the following:
Cure
Restoration
Devour
Overshield
Woven Mail
Frost Armor
Invisibility
Reliable crowd control
Best Hunter Solo Direction
Solar Crackshot + Wormhusk is excellent because the class ability itself can contribute healing.
Void Assassin's Cowl-style setups remain another strong option for players who prefer invisibility and powered melee gameplay.
Best Warlock Solo Direction
Void Soul Siphon + Feed the Void is extremely comfortable.
Devour and Overshield provide two independent layers of survivability.
Prismatic turret-style setups are excellent if controlling enemies before they reach you is more important than aggressive damage.
Best Titan Solo Direction
Solar Shieldburst + Hallowfire Heart provides Cure, ability regeneration, Barricade protection, and Solar effects.
Stasis Behemoth is excellent when damage resistance and crowd control matter more.
Best Builds for Beginners
New players should avoid starting with a complicated build requiring:
Start with simple loops.
Beginner Hunter
Solar + Wormhusk Crown.
Use Dodge for healing.
Use Solar abilities.
Learn Scorch and Ignition.
Beginner Warlock
Void + Feed the Void.
Use Devour.
Use Rift.
Add Soul Siphon once you understand the melee loop.
Beginner Titan
Solar + Sol Invictus.
Create Sunspots.
Stay alive.
Add Shieldburst once you understand Barricade positioning.
A build that you fully understand is stronger than a meta build you cannot execute.
How to Choose Fragments
Fragments should support the build rather than simply fill empty slots.
For Solar builds, prioritize effects that improve:
Scorch
Ignitions
Radiant
Restoration
Ability regeneration
For Void builds, prioritize:
Devour
Overshield
Weaken
Volatile
Ability regeneration
For Arc:
Amplified
Jolt
Ionic Traces
Ability loops
For Stasis:
Frost Armor
Shattering
Slow and Freeze
Crystal interaction
For Strand:
Woven Mail
Suspend
Sever
Tangles
Threadlings
For Prismatic, choose Fragments that connect both halves of your build instead of creating several unrelated effects.
Build Around Your Exotic
One of the easiest ways to fix a weak build is to ask one question:
What is my Exotic actually doing?
If you cannot answer immediately, the build probably lacks focus.
Wormhusk wants class ability activations.
Nezarec's Sin wants Void effects and ability loops.
Hallowfire Heart wants Solar ability usage.
Ophidian Aspect wants weapon combat.
One-Eyed Mask wants duels.
Celestial Nighthawk wants precision Super damage.
Your weapons, stats, and subclass should reinforce that purpose.
Build Around the Activity
A strong Destiny build changes depending on the content.
General PvE
Prioritize:
Add clear
Survivability
Ability uptime
Flexible weapons
Raids
Prioritize:
Boss damage
Team buffs
Debuffs
Encounter mechanics
Ammo economy
Solo PvE
Prioritize:
PvP
Prioritize:
Health
Weapon consistency
Movement
Information
Class ability uptime
Do not judge a build outside the environment it was designed for.
Artifact Mods Are Not the Foundation of a Permanent Build
Artifacts can still add powerful interactions to PvE builds.
However, they should not be the only reason your setup functions.
Monument of Triumph made seven Artifacts available and removed their old Anti-Champion mods because Champion functionality is now intrinsic to weapon archetypes.
Artifact mods are also disabled in Competitive Crucible and Trials.
This is important for PvP guides.
A build advertised as a Trials build should not rely on Artifact effects that do not function there.
Anti-Champion 2.0 Changes PvE Builds
Champion coverage is easier to build around now.
Monument of Triumph assigned intrinsic Champion functionality according to weapon archetype and frame.
Broadly:
Aggressive / High-Impact → Unstoppable
Precision / Adaptive → Barrier
Lightweight / Rapid-Fire → Overload
Some special frames have their own classifications.
This means you should check Champion coverage when selecting weapons for a difficult PvE build.
Do not dismantle an excellent build simply to force an outdated seasonal anti-Champion weapon combination.
Armor Set Bonuses Can Complete a Build
Armor 3.0 set bonuses provide additional buildcrafting options.
Some sets reward:
Survivability
Armor Charge usage
Ability effects
Elemental interactions
Movement
Orb collection
Bungie intentionally designed them as an additional layer rather than something every build absolutely requires.
Do not destroy excellent stat distribution merely to force a four-piece set bonus.
Sometimes two two-piece bonuses are better.
Sometimes one four-piece bonus is worth the sacrifice.
Sometimes your raw armor stats and Exotic matter more.
Evaluate the entire build.
Common Destiny 2 Build Mistakes
Using Outdated Armor Stats
If a guide tells you to get 100 Resilience and 100 Discipline on modern Armor 3.0 gear, verify when it was written.
Current stats are Health, Melee, Grenade, Super, Class, and Weapons.
Maximizing the Wrong Stat
A Crackshot Hunter with very low Class investment is ignoring one of the Aspect's main scaling opportunities.
A Soul Siphon Warlock with no Melee investment will have weaker uptime.
Build stats around mechanics.
Ignoring Survivability
The highest damage build is useless if you die constantly.
Add Health, Cure, Devour, Overshield, Frost Armor, Restoration, or another defensive layer.
Copying a PvE Build Into Trials
PvE and PvP have different ability tuning.
Artifact mods are disabled in Competitive and Trials.
Some abilities also have PvP-specific reductions.
Make separate loadouts.
Using One Loadout for an Entire Raid
A raid can move from add clear to survival to burst DPS in consecutive encounters.
Change loadouts when the encounter changes.
Building Around an Exotic Without Activating It
If your Exotic requires Solar kills and you rarely use Solar damage, you are wasting the slot.
If your Exotic improves weapon handling but you spend the entire activity spamming abilities, another Exotic may be better.
Chasing Perfect Stats Before Learning the Loop
Perfect armor does not fix poor execution.
Learn the build first.
Optimize the numbers afterward.
Destiny 2 Best Builds FAQ

Prismatic turret-style Warlock builds remain excellent for battlefield control.
What Is the Best Titan PvE Build?
Solar Shieldburst + Hallowfire Heart provides a strong combination of healing, class ability damage, Scorch, Barricade utility, and ability regeneration.
Prismatic Consecration remains a stronger alternative for players who prefer aggressive melee-focused gameplay.
What Is the Best Hunter PvP Build?
Solar Hunter with Wormhusk Crown is a reliable PvP setup because every class ability activation provides Cure.
Knucklehead Radar is excellent for players who value information and long-range gunplay.
What Is the Best Warlock PvP Build?
Dawnblade with Ophidian Aspect is one of the safest all-around choices.
It combines Solar Warlock movement with better weapon handling, reload speed, melee range, and airborne effectiveness.
What Is the Best Titan PvP Build?
Arc Striker with Thruster + One-Eyed Mask provides a straightforward combination of movement, dueling, target information, and Overshield after winning against marked opponents.
Sentinel Ward of Dawn is particularly useful in objective-focused modes.
Is Prismatic Still Good?
Yes.
Prismatic remains extremely flexible and supports several powerful PvE builds across all three classes.
However, Monument of Triumph significantly strengthened traditional Solar, Void, Arc, Strand, and Stasis subclasses as well, so Prismatic is no longer the only obvious choice for many builds.
Should I Get a Stat Above 100?
Yes, when that stat directly supports your build.
Certain offensive stats provide additional benefits beyond 100.
Crackshot and Shieldburst specifically scale their damage with Class above 100.
Do not push a stat toward 200 merely because you can.
Make sure the additional investment produces something your build actually uses.
What Stats Should I Use for PvP?
Health, Weapons, and Class are generally safe priorities for weapon-focused PvP builds.
Exact priorities depend on your Exotic and subclass.
A grenade-focused PvP build may invest much more heavily into Grenade.
Do Artifact Mods Work in Trials?
No.
Artifact mods are disabled in Trials and Competitive Crucible under the current Monument of Triumph system.
Do I Need Perfect Tier 5 Armor?
No.
Good stat distribution, a useful Exotic, correct Aspects, and a coherent gameplay loop matter more than chasing perfection immediately.
All modern Armor 3.0 Exotics receive Tier 5 stat treatment, giving your Exotic a strong foundation for buildcrafting.
Final Tips for Destiny 2 Buildcrafting
The best Destiny 2 builds are not necessarily the ones with the longest list of buffs.
The strongest builds have a clear purpose.
For Hunter, Solar Crackshot offers an excellent combination of offense, healing, and class ability gameplay, while Celestial Nighthawk remains a strong boss-damage option.
For Warlock, Soul Siphon makes Voidwalker extremely self-sufficient through Overshield, Devour, class energy, and Suppression, while Prismatic and Solar remain excellent alternatives for control and raid support.
For Titan, Shieldburst gives Sunbreaker an entirely new class-ability loop, while Prismatic Consecration and Stasis provide aggressive and defensive alternatives.
PvP follows a different rule.
