Options
Prices are set by each seller and depend on these choices.
Option | Choices | How it changes the order |
|---|---|---|
Outcome | Random Prototype items, a converted item, Prototype Cores or an Augment upgrade | Random items are the lowest-cost option, while targeted conversions and high Augment levels cost more. |
Quantity | The number of items or Cores in the offer | Larger quantities take more Escalation runs and dismantling, so they cost more. |
Target item | The gear piece or weapon you want converted | The item must be level 40, High-End or better and at Expertise 30, so getting it there may add to the order. |
Method | Piloted or self-play | Piloted: the booster farms on your character while you take a break. Self-play: you join the booster's group and run Escalation together. |
Platform | PC, PlayStation or Xbox | Offers and prices are listed separately for each platform. |
How Prototype gear works
Know what each part of a Division 2 Prototype gear boost does before you choose:
Part | What it is |
|---|---|
Prototype items | The highest item quality in the game. The old High-End maximum becomes the minimum, and one attribute rolls at the new maximum. |
Augments | One per Prototype item, from a shared pool. Augments level up through play and with Prototype Cores, and can be rerolled. |
Prototype Cores | The Protolab currency for converting items, leveling Augments and rerolls. Most come from dismantling Prototype gear. |
Conversion | Turns a level 40 High-End, named or gear set item at Expertise 30 into a Prototype item. Exotics can't be converted. |
Random Prototype drops have random stats and Augments. Only a targeted conversion or an Augment offer controls what you get, and each offer states its exact outcome.
Requirements
Before you order a Division 2 Prototype gear boost, make sure you have:
A level 40 character that has finished the main campaign, because Escalation needs both. Need help first? See the Division 2 character leveling boost or the Division 2 campaign boost.
For conversions, the item you want converted at Expertise 30, or a Division 2 Expertise leveling boost added to the order.
Free inventory space for the Prototype items and the other loot from the farm.
How it works
Choose your outcome, quantity or target item, method and platform, then pick a seller's offer.
Complete checkout. The seller contacts you on BoostRoom to agree on a start time.
Share the items you want converted or the Augment you want upgraded.
The booster runs Escalation, dismantles for Cores and works at the Protolab, sending updates along the way.
Check your Prototype items, Cores and Augments in game, then confirm the order is complete.
How long a Division 2 Prototype gear boost takes
Every Division 2 Prototype gear boost offer shows the seller's delivery time. A small number of random items or Cores is the quickest order, while targeted conversions and high Augment levels take longer because they need more Cores and more runs.
Division 2 Prototype gear boost FAQ
Do Prototype items work in raids and PvP?
Their stats are normalized and Augments are disabled in raids, incursions and PvP, so Prototype gear is strongest in open-world and Escalation content.
Do random Prototype packages come with guaranteed rolls?
No. Random items deliver the number stated in the offer, with random stats and Augments. Choose a conversion or an Augment offer if you need a specific result.
Is a fixed amount of Prototype Cores the same as an upgrade?
No. A Cores order adds the stated number of Cores to your character for you to spend. An Augment upgrade order spends them on the Augment and level the offer lists.
Why does my item need Expertise 30 before conversion?
The game only converts items that have reached Expertise 30. The Division 2 Expertise leveling boost raises your Expertise and can include item upgrades.
Can I farm Escalation myself with help?
Yes. The Division 2 Escalation boost covers runs at the tier you choose and Escalation Token amounts.
