Options
Prices are set by each seller and depend on these choices.
Option | Choices | How it changes the order |
|---|---|---|
Starting and target Expertise | Any range up to Expertise 30, such as a single level or a full climb to the cap | Each level needs more proficient items than the last, so higher levels cost more per level. |
Proficiency ranks | Ranks 1 to 10 for a weapon, brand set or gear set you choose | Makes that item type proficient, which counts toward your Expertise level and lets you upgrade it. |
Item upgrades | Named weapons or gear upgraded to your Expertise level, where the offer includes it | Adds the materials and Exotic Components the upgrades cost, so it raises the price. |
Method | Piloted or self-play | Piloted: the booster farms on your character while you take a break. Self-play: you join the booster's group and farm together. |
Platform | PC, PlayStation or Xbox | Offers and prices are listed separately for each platform. |
Expertise level, proficiency and item upgrades
Three linked systems decide how strong your gear gets, and a Division 2 Expertise leveling boost works on the first two:
System | What it is | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
Proficiency rank | A rank from 1 to 10 for each weapon, skill, brand set and gear set, raised by using items or donating them at the Tinkering Station | An item type becomes proficient at rank 10. |
Expertise level | Your account level, from 1 to 30, which rises as more item types become proficient | Sets the highest level you can upgrade any item to. |
Item Expertise | The upgrade level of one specific weapon or gear piece | Each level adds stats, up to bonus weapon damage on weapons and armor on gear. Each copy of an item is upgraded on its own. |
Requirements
Before you order a Division 2 Expertise leveling boost, make sure you have:
A level 40 character. Need to get there first? See the Division 2 character leveling boost.
Your current Expertise level ready for checkout.
A list of the weapons and gear you want made proficient or upgraded, if you have favorites.
Free inventory space for the items farmed for donations.
How it works
Choose your starting and target Expertise, any proficiency ranks or item upgrades, the method and your platform, then pick a seller's offer.
Complete checkout. The seller contacts you on BoostRoom to agree on a start time.
Share the items you want prioritized, or let the booster choose the fastest route.
The booster raises proficiency ranks through play and donations and sends updates as your Expertise climbs.
Check your Expertise level at the Tinkering Station, then confirm the order is complete.
How long a Division 2 Expertise leveling boost takes
Every offer shows the seller's delivery time. Low Expertise levels go quickly, while the last levels before 30 need many proficient item types and take the longest. Item upgrades add time, because they need materials and Exotic Components farmed first.
Division 2 Expertise leveling boost FAQ
What is the maximum Expertise level?
Expertise 30. At 30 you can upgrade any weapon or gear piece to the highest item Expertise the game allows.
Is Expertise shared between my characters?
Yes. Your Expertise level is account-wide, so every level 40 character on your account can upgrade items to the same cap.
Does a higher Expertise level make my gear stronger by itself?
No. It raises the cap, and each item still needs its own upgrade at the Tinkering Station. Add item upgrades to your order if you want the booster to do them.
Does an Expertise leveling boost include Prototype gear?
No. Prototype items, Prototype Cores and Augment upgrades are covered by the Division 2 Prototype gear boost.
Can I raise Expertise faster myself?
Yes. Our Division 2 Expertise system guide covers the fastest ways to level it and the best items to upgrade first.
