Farming in Evertale is less about endlessly repeating one stage and more about knowing which activity produces the resource currently blocking your progression.
Gold, Character EXP Coins, Weapon EXP Coins, Boost Gems, Unknown Fruits, Unknown Ores, Limit Break Potions, Friend Points, Mana, and event currencies all come from different systems.
That makes efficient farming a matter of prioritization.
A player who spends all available Mana farming a low-value resource may progress more slowly than someone who uses events, Tower rewards, Boss Raids, and exchange shops correctly.
The most important principle is:
Farm your bottleneck, not whatever resource is easiest to obtain.
The most useful resource sources currently include:
Tower of Trials – Gold, Player EXP, Character EXP, Weapon EXP, Boost Gems, Potential materials, and other passive resources.
Character and Weapon Events – event currency, Character EXP Coins, Weapon EXP Coins, Limit Break Potions, weapons, accessories, and other exchange rewards.
Boss Raids – Character EXP Coins and several valuable character-development materials.
Alliance content – Alliance Coins, Boost Gems, Potential materials, and other progression rewards.
Friend Summons – an important source of Boost Gems and additional development materials.
Forging unwanted units and weapons – extra Gold, EXP Coins, and selected enhancement resources.
Not every method is equally efficient for every material.

Gold is required throughout Evertale for character leveling, weapon leveling, Boost improvements, and other enhancement systems.
It can feel scarce early because new accounts are constantly upgrading units.
Later, however, Gold generally becomes less restrictive than premium development materials such as Character EXP Coins, Limit Break Potions, Boost Gems, and Potential resources. The current Evertale FAQ specifically notes that Gold tends to become surplus compared with enhancement materials as an account develops.
That means you should avoid spending valuable Mana exclusively chasing Gold unless it is genuinely blocking an important upgrade.
The Tower of Trials is one of the most important long-term Gold sources.
Tower loot accumulates over time, and the amount of Gold received increases as you reach higher floors.
Current Tower data confirms that:
higher floors increase Gold income;
higher floors also improve Player EXP income;
Character and Weapon EXP Coin quantities from regular Tower loot are not increased by floor level;
Tower loot can include Boost Gems, Unknown Fruits, Unknown Ores, Mastery Scrolls, and other materials.
This gives you a very strong reason to push the Tower whenever your team becomes powerful enough.
Tower progress improves more than just your ranking.
The passive loot system means that climbing farther increases the value of future accumulated Gold and Player EXP.
You do not need to farm one floor manually over and over.
Instead, increase your highest cleared floor whenever possible and let the Tower continue producing resources.
This makes Tower progression one of the most efficient account-wide investments in Evertale.
The Tower allows players to obtain several hours of accumulated rewards instantly through fast-forward mechanics using resources such as Time Stones or Soul Stones.
Because Gold and Player EXP scale with Tower progress, these instant rewards become more valuable after your account reaches higher floors.
That does not mean you should automatically spend Soul Stones on them.
Soul Stones remain one of Evertale's most valuable currencies and are usually better protected for summoning and Lucky Fountain strategies.
Time Stones are generally the safer resource to use when you want additional Tower loot.
A common beginner mistake is seeing a low Gold balance and assuming Gold should become the main farming priority.
Usually the better question is:
Why am I spending so much Gold?
If you are upgrading ten characters simultaneously, the real problem may be inefficient development rather than insufficient Gold farming.
Focus upgrades on your main team.
This naturally reduces Gold pressure while preserving Character EXP Coins, Boost Gems, and other harder-to-replace materials.
Character EXP Coins become one of Evertale's largest progression bottlenecks.
Current leveling data lists 1,693,094 Character EXP Coins as the total required to raise an SSR character to Level 200.
That is why EXP farming deserves significantly more attention than Gold farming.
Character EXP Coins can come from:
Boss Raids;
Character and Weapon Events;
Tower Exploration;
Tower passive rewards;
Friend Summons;
Forging duplicate or unwanted characters;
selected shops and other rewards.
No single source instantly solves the EXP problem.
You need to combine several systems.
Character and Weapon Events are among the most valuable Mana-based farming activities.
Players clear event stages to obtain event exchange materials and then spend those materials in the event shop.
Current event exchange data includes large quantities of Character EXP Coins and Weapon EXP Coins alongside Limit Break Potions, weapons, accessories, and other progression resources.
The Evertale leveling guide currently estimates that a character/weapon event can offer up to approximately 117,000 Character EXP Coins through exchanges, although event inventories can change and should always be checked individually.
That makes events one of the strongest targeted EXP sources available.
If you already collected the important exclusive event equipment and your main character cannot level because you lack EXP Coins, the Character EXP exchanges become extremely valuable.
Avoid buying every low-priority shop item simply because it is available.
Farm with a goal.
Current event data shows that higher-cost stages provide better base event currency per Mana.
The listed base rates are:
50 Mana → 200 currency;
60 Mana → 400 currency;
80 Mana → 800 currency.
That corresponds to approximately 4, 6.7, and 10 base event currency per Mana respectively.
If your team can reliably clear the stronger stage, farming the higher-Mana version is therefore significantly more efficient.
This is one of the easiest ways to improve event farming without spending additional resources.
Character and Weapon Events often include designated bonus units and equipment.
Using them increases the amount of event currency you receive.
Current event farming data recommends obtaining bonus characters and weapons as early as practical and equipping them while farming.
There is also an important weapon optimization.
For event farming, several separate bonus weapons can sometimes provide more total drop bonus than immediately awakening them into one weapon.
The current event guide notes that a fully awakened bonus weapon provides a larger individual multiplier, but spreading multiple unawakened copies across several characters can create a larger total event bonus.
This is extremely useful when your goal is maximizing event currency rather than immediately building the strongest copy of the weapon.
You can combine them later if desired.
Mercenaries are valuable in events for two reasons.
They can help clear stages that your own team cannot defeat reliably, and eligible bonus Mercenaries can improve event currency drops.
Current event guidance recommends selecting a Mercenary with the strongest relevant event bonus rather than simply choosing the character with the highest Battalion Power.
That means a fully awakened SR event character can sometimes be a better farming Mercenary than an unrelated powerful SSR.
Always check the actual bonus.
Boss Raids are another major Character EXP source.
The current leveling guide identifies Boss Raids as one of the easiest ways to acquire Character EXP Coins and estimates that multiple successful raid clears can produce more than 10,000 Character EXP Coins on average, with higher totals possible depending on rewards and raid results.
Boss Raid rewards vary depending on the boss.
Different raid encounters can provide different enhancement materials.
This makes them particularly valuable when you are trying to progress a specific character rather than simply collecting generic currency.
Tower Exploration provides another dependable Character EXP source.
Current Tower data lists Character EXP Coins among the guaranteed Exploration rewards and also includes chances for Mastery Scrolls, Mana Potions, and Exploration Tickets.
Tower Exploration is particularly useful because it does not compete directly with event Mana farming.
That means it should be treated as complementary income rather than a replacement for events.
The more independent resource streams you collect, the faster your account develops.
Do not confuse Character EXP Coins with Player EXP.
Character EXP Coins level individual characters.
Player EXP increases your Player Rank.
Tower loot provides both, but the way they scale differs.
Current Tower data shows that Gold and Player EXP increase with higher Tower floors, while normal Character and Weapon EXP Coin loot remains fixed across floors.
Higher Player Rank is still valuable because it is tied to account progression and various unlocks.
However, when your goal is raising an SSR from Level 160 toward 180 or 200, Character EXP Coins are the resource that will usually matter most.
Weapon EXP Coins are generally easier to manage than Character EXP Coins, but they can still become restrictive if you upgrade too many weapons.
The strongest sources overlap with character EXP farming:
Character and Weapon Event shops;
Tower loot;
Tower Exploration;
Friend Summons;
forging unused weapons.
Events can offer large blocks of Weapon EXP Coins through their exchange shops.
Do not level every SSR weapon simply because it is SSR.
Weapons should match your important characters and activate useful weapon skills.
Keeping unused equipment at low investment preserves Weapon EXP Coins for weapons that actually improve your primary teams.
Boost Gems are used alongside Gold to increase Boost values.
Boost increases character and weapon Attack and HP, but the material requirements rise sharply at higher Boost levels.
The current Boost guide estimates that reaching Boost 300 requires approximately 20,601 Boost Gems, making extreme Boost investment one of Evertale's largest long-term resource sinks.
Because of that, Boost Gems should not be wasted across temporary units.
Friend Summons are one of the main repeatable sources of Boost Gems.
The current Boost guide estimates roughly:
1.06 Character Boost Gems per ten Friend Summons;
0.90 Weapon Boost Gems per ten Friend Summons,
based on a large recorded sample.
Friend Summons also provide characters and weapons that can later be forged for additional materials.
This gives Friend Points more value than beginners often realize.
Do not ignore them simply because Friend Summons do not provide premium SSR banner characters.
Friend Points can come from several game systems and can also be purchased through selected exchange shops.
The Fluorite shop currently converts Fluorite into Friend Points, while Alliance and Arena currencies have their own useful exchange options.
Before converting everything into Friend Points, however, compare the opportunity cost.
If another currency can purchase a rare material directly, that may be more valuable than generating additional Friend Summons.
Boost Gems can also appear through:
event stages;
Tower loot;
Alliance rewards;
Boss Raids;
recurring missions;
forging summoned units and equipment.
Current event farming information notes that high-Mana event stages can also drop Character and Weapon Boost Gems in addition to event exchange currency.
That makes event farming useful for several progression systems simultaneously.
Character and weapon Boost use similar materials, but their value is not identical.
The current Boost guide notes that weapon Boost provides relatively small stat gains compared with character Boost and recommends against forcing high weapon Boost values unnecessarily.
For most accounts, strengthening your main characters should receive priority.
Limit Break Potions are required to raise character and weapon level caps.
They quickly become one of the most important resources for developed SSRs.
Current Evertale guidance identifies Boss Raids as one of the best sources for Limit Break Potions, with Character and Weapon Events providing another important supply through exchange shops.
If you own a strong SSR but cannot increase its level cap, Limit Break Potions should become a higher priority than generic Gold.
Event shops frequently contain Character and Weapon Limit Break Potions.
These should generally receive high priority because they directly control how far your important units can progress.
An accessory you will never equip has limited value.
A Limit Break Potion that allows your main carry to reach another level threshold can immediately improve your entire account.
Potential is another important character-development system.
Characters use Unknown Fruits, while weapons use Unknown Ores.
These materials increase Potential and therefore improve Attack and HP.
Major current sources include:
Boss Raids;
Alliance War-related rewards;
Tower rewards;
selected shops and missions.
For most players, character development has a larger impact than pushing every weapon toward maximum Potential.
If you are choosing between heavily investing into your primary SSR character or an average weapon, the character is generally the better progression target.
Unknown Fruits therefore tend to feel more valuable than Unknown Ores for many accounts.
Potential becomes dramatically less material-efficient at high percentages.
Current data estimates:
approximately 2,000 materials to reach 42%;
approximately 3,000 to reach 60%;
approximately 3,800 to reach around 65.2%;
approximately 21,200 to reach 100%,
for a Player Rank 200+ account.
That final jump is enormous.
This is why farming efficiency is not only about obtaining more resources.
It is also about not spending them inefficiently.
Instead of forcing one secondary character from roughly 65% to 100% Potential, those materials may create significantly more total power when distributed across important members of your core Battalion.
Alliance participation becomes increasingly important as an account develops.
Alliance Wars and related territory rewards can provide:
Unknown Fruits;
Unknown Ores;
Character Boost Gems;
Weapon Boost Gems;
Character Limit Break Potions.
Higher-level territory rewards increase the quantities available.
This gives active Alliances a real progression advantage beyond social interaction.
Joining an Alliance that actually participates in Alliance content can materially improve your long-term resource income.
Alliance Coins can be exchanged for several resources.
The current shop guide lists:
Weapon Boost Gems;
Unknown Ores;
Weapon Limit Break Potions;
Weapon EXP Coins;
Mana Potions;
Reset Cores.
Its recommendation generally favors the 100 Mana Potion as a flexible purchase because Mana can then be converted into whichever current event resource is most valuable.
That flexibility is important.
Directly purchasing one minor material may be less valuable than obtaining additional Mana during a strong event.
Mana itself should be treated as a resource.
You do not want to spend it merely because your bar is full.
Your objective is to convert Mana into the highest-value rewards available to your account.
For many players, Character and Weapon Events are among the strongest uses because one farming session can provide:
event equipment;
Character EXP;
Weapon EXP;
Limit Break Potions;
Reset Cores;
Time Stones;
accessories;
additional enhancement materials.
That is significantly better than spending Mana on content offering a resource you already have in abundance.
When comparing two farming stages, do not only look at the final reward number.
Divide the reward by Mana cost.
The current Character and Weapon Event system demonstrates this clearly.
An 80-Mana stage currently provides substantially more base event currency per Mana than lower-cost versions.
That means your strongest clearable stage is often the most efficient.
This principle applies anywhere Evertale gives you multiple farming difficulties.
Suppose you already have millions of Gold but desperately need Character EXP Coins.
Using Mana on additional Gold would not meaningfully improve your account.
Likewise, if your main SSR cannot Limit Break, obtaining another large stack of EXP Coins does not immediately solve the problem.
Always identify what blocks the next meaningful upgrade.
Then farm that resource.
Forging allows unwanted characters and weapons to be converted into useful materials.
Depending on rarity, forging can return:
Gold;
Character or Weapon EXP Coins;
Awakening Pieces;
Limit Break Potions;
Exploration Tickets.
Higher-rarity units provide larger returns.
This does not mean you should immediately forge every duplicate.
Check whether the character or weapon has Awakening value first.
Once you are certain an item is not needed, forging can recover useful progression materials rather than leaving unnecessary inventory untouched.
This is particularly important with SR and SSR characters.
A unit that appears weak individually may still have:
event bonus value;
niche team synergy;
useful passives;
Awakening potential;

Resources obtained through forging are useful, but replacing an important character is much harder than farming a few additional EXP Coins.

Allow the Tower to provide passive Gold and EXP.

You may have enough characters but lack:

At this point, efficiency becomes more important.
Push the Tower whenever your improved Battalion allows it.
Maximize event drop bonuses.

This makes resource allocation more important than raw farming volume.
An endgame account should ask:
Will this upgrade meaningfully improve one of my active Battalions?
If not, keep the materials.
Future characters may benefit from them much more.
Always inspect the available event exchanges first.
A valuable event can give substantially better progression per Mana.
Gold feels important early, but Character EXP and development materials generally become larger bottlenecks.
