How Group PvM Works in OSRS Hardcore Worlds
Group PvM stands for group player-versus-monster combat.
It involves multiple players cooperating to defeat enemies, bosses, or raid encounters.
Hardcore Worlds supports eligible multiplayer PvM activities, allowing players to participate in familiar OSRS content while following the dedicated mode's rules.
However, there is an important difference between Hardcore Worlds and Hardcore Group Ironman.
Hardcore Worlds Is Not Group Ironman
Despite using Hardcore Group Ironman-style death rules, Hardcore Worlds does not impose ordinary Group Ironman trading restrictions.
Hardcore Worlds players can trade with other eligible players inside the separate economy.
They can also use the Grand Exchange to purchase available equipment and supplies.
You don't need to form a permanent Ironman group before participating in Group PvM.
This means you can:
Join friends for eligible group encounters.
Trade equipment and supplies.
Use the Hardcore Worlds Grand Exchange.
Participate in supported multiplayer raids.
Find teammates through clans and player communities.
Change your team between activities.
Organize different groups for different bosses.
However, the ability to form teams doesn't mean every encounter allows unlimited participants.
Each boss or raid has its own party size restrictions and mechanics.

Does Hardcore Worlds Use Shared Group Lives?
No.
Hardcore Group Ironman has a shared pool of lives tied to a permanent Ironman group.
Hardcore Worlds uses the stricter death rules but does not adopt that shared-life system.
Your Hardcore Worlds character faces its own survival consequences.
If you die during an unsafe encounter, your current run ends.
The other members of your team don't automatically lose their characters simply because you died.
However, your death can make the encounter significantly more difficult for the remaining players.
Does Group PvM Provide Increased Rewards?
Hardcore Worlds uses normal OSRS experience and item drop rates.
There are no special reward multipliers simply because you're participating in Hardcore Worlds.
Group activities follow their own normal reward systems.
Some bosses calculate drops based on participation or damage.
Raids use more specialized contribution and reward mechanics.
The correct approach is to learn the individual encounter's reward rules rather than assuming every team shares loot equally.
Are Group PvM Deaths Safe in Hardcore Worlds?
No. Group PvM should generally be treated as dangerous.
Hardcore Worlds uses stricter death rules than traditional Hardcore Ironman.
Most fatal PvM deaths can end your current run.
Some minigames and specific resurrection mechanics have safe-death exceptions, but those exceptions are limited.
What Happens If You Die During Group PvM?
If your character suffers an unsafe fatal death, Hardcore Worlds processes the death and presents two options.
Reset: Begin another Hardcore Worlds attempt with your gameplay progression wiped.
Transfer: Permanently move your character to regular OSRS while preserving eligible progression and surviving possessions.
Neither option allows you to continue the same Hardcore Worlds run.
Can Your Team Continue After You Die?
That depends on the encounter.
Some raid systems allow surviving teammates to continue after another player dies.
For example, Theatre of Blood has a Purgatory mechanic that can allow a fallen player to rejoin the raid after teammates complete the room.
However, the raid allowing a player to continue does not mean the death is safe for Hardcore Worlds.
You should treat a dangerous death as the end of your Hardcore Worlds run regardless of whether the encounter permits additional attempts.
This is one of the most important rules to understand before joining a team.
Can Teammates Revive You?
Don't assume another player can revive your character after an unsafe fatal death.
OSRS has specific resurrection mechanics in certain activities, but ordinary Group PvM does not provide a universal teammate-revival system.
A teammate may help prevent a death through mechanics such as coordinated attacks or eligible emergency interactions.
However, once a dangerous fatal death is registered, ordinary team cooperation cannot simply undo it.
For the complete death-rule breakdown, read our OSRS Hardcore Worlds Death Rules Guide.
All Dedicated Hardcore Worlds Group PvM Servers
Jagex introduced dedicated Group PvM worlds to help players find others interested in cooperative combat.
These are activity-designated worlds within the Hardcore Worlds environment.
Five Group PvM worlds were included in the November 4 launch roster.
Group PvM World Numbers
These are the player-facing world numbers. Jagex's launch article used the corresponding internal identifiers 638, 647, 655, 659, and 672.
Which Group PvM World Should You Choose?
Begin by selecting a world with a stable connection.
For players located in North America, US East and US West are reasonable starting options.
European players may prefer Germany or the United Kingdom.
Australian players can test the Australian Group PvM world.
However, actual latency depends on your internet provider and connection quality.
A nearby server isn't guaranteed to provide the best experience.
Are Group PvM Worlds Different From Standard Worlds?
The activity label helps players find teammates.
It doesn't create separate combat rules.
You can still complete ordinary quests, train skills, and participate in eligible activities on a Group PvM world.
Similarly, you aren't restricted to Group PvM worlds when organizing a team.
You can participate in supported content on another eligible Hardcore World when its normal requirements allow it.
Are Dedicated Group PvM Worlds Safer?
No.
Group PvM activity labels don't change the Hardcore Worlds death rules.
A fatal death in a dangerous boss encounter remains unsafe.
You should never select a Group PvM world expecting additional death protection.
How to Find a Reliable Hardcore Worlds PvM Team
Finding teammates is one of the first challenges of Group PvM.
However, choosing the right people is more important than assembling a team quickly.
A poorly coordinated group can create unnecessary risks.
Play With Experienced Friends
If you have friends who already understand the encounter, they may be valuable teammates.
Experienced players can help explain mechanics, organize positions, and communicate dangerous phases.
However, experience in regular OSRS does not automatically mean someone understands Hardcore Worlds restrictions.
Make sure everyone knows the applicable death rules.
Use Clans and Player Communities
OSRS clans and player communities can help you find teammates.
Look for groups focused on PvM, raids, or Hardcore Worlds progression.
Before joining dangerous content, ask about the group's experience.
Useful questions include:
Have they completed this encounter before?
Are they familiar with its dangerous mechanics?
Do they understand Hardcore Worlds death rules?
Can they communicate reliably?
Are they comfortable abandoning a run if necessary?
Do they have suitable equipment and supplies?
Don't hesitate to decline an invitation if the group seems unprepared.
Avoid Random Teams for Difficult First Attempts
Random matchmaking can be convenient, but it creates uncertainty.
You may not know the other players' experience, equipment, or communication habits.
For difficult raids, this can lead to unexpected mistakes.
A coordinated team with a clear plan is generally preferable to a group assembled without preparation.
Choose Teammates Who Prioritize Survival
Some players focus on maximum damage and faster completion times.
Others prefer conservative strategies.
Neither approach is universally wrong.
However, for Hardcore Worlds, teammates should understand that survival is more important than saving a few seconds.
If your group constantly takes unnecessary risks, it may not be suitable for your character.
Essential Roles in Hardcore Worlds Team Bossing
Not every OSRS boss uses a formal role system.
However, assigning responsibilities can improve coordination.
For Group PvM, several practical responsibilities are worth discussing.
Team Leader
A team leader helps organize the encounter.
Their responsibilities may include:
Confirming everyone is ready.
Explaining the planned strategy.
Checking required equipment.
Identifying dangerous mechanics.
Coordinating movement.
Calling for retreat when necessary.
The leader doesn't need to be the player dealing the most damage.
They should be someone who understands the encounter and communicates clearly.
Primary Damage Dealers
Damage-focused players concentrate on dealing consistent damage to the boss.
However, they must still follow mechanics.
In Hardcore Worlds, dealing extra damage is not worth ignoring dangerous attacks.
Damage dealers should understand when to stop attacking, move, or change combat styles.
Support Responsibilities
OSRS doesn't have a universal healer class.
However, some encounters benefit from players handling specific support tasks.
These may involve:
Managing additional enemies.
Handling special mechanics.
Breaking objects that threaten teammates.
Coordinating supplies where allowed.
Protecting particular areas.
Communicating incoming attacks.
These responsibilities vary by encounter.
Don't assume every boss needs the same team structure.
Emergency Decision-Maker
Before starting, agree on who will call for an emergency retreat.
This can help prevent confusion when something goes wrong.
However, every player should retain the ability to leave independently when their character is in danger.
Never make your own survival depend entirely on waiting for another player's permission.
How to Prepare Your Team Before Bossing
Team preparation begins before entering the boss arena.
A few simple checks can prevent major problems later.
Confirm Everyone's Requirements
Some activities require quests, skill levels, or access unlocks.
For example, Tombs of Amascut requires completion of Beneath Cursed Sands.
Theatre of Blood requires access to Morytania through Priest in Peril.
Nex requires completion of The Frozen Door miniquest.
Before organizing the team, make sure every player can enter the intended encounter.
Review Combat Stats
The ideal combat levels depend on the boss.
There is no universal Group PvM requirement.
However, your team should understand each player's damage output and defensive capabilities.
A character with weaker equipment or low Hitpoints may require more conservative positioning.
Don't assume every player can safely follow the same setup.
Prepare Appropriate Equipment
Each player should use equipment suited to the encounter.
Depending on the boss, this may involve:
Melee weapons.
Ranged equipment.
Magic weapons or spells.
Defensive armor.
Prayer bonuses.
Suitable ammunition.
Special utility items.
Some encounters require multiple combat styles.
Check whether your teammates can perform the necessary switches.
Check Food and Potions
Every player should have enough supplies for the planned encounter.
Useful categories include:
Inventory requirements vary.
A setup designed for an experienced player may be unsuitable for a beginner.
Confirm Emergency Escape Options
Before entering, each teammate should know how to leave.
Some encounters permit ordinary teleportation.
Others have special restrictions.
Escape Crystals provide emergency functionality in certain raids and minigames, but they are not universal.
Never assume that an emergency teleport works everywhere.
Escape Crystals and Group PvM Survival
The Escape Crystal is an important emergency item in Hardcore Worlds.
Every new Hardcore Worlds character receives one for free.
Additional crystals can be purchased from Death for 10,000 GP each.
The item supports special teleportation in selected dangerous activities, including Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, and Tombs of Amascut.
Why Every Teammate Should Prepare an Escape
A coordinated group can help reduce risk, but each player is responsible for protecting their own character.
If another teammate makes a mistake, you may still need to escape independently.
Before entering dangerous content, check that your emergency item is available and configured appropriately.
Automatic Disconnect Protection
Escape Crystals can be configured to activate after a selected period of inactivity followed by a qualifying damage event.
This can help during some disconnects or client crashes.
However, the crystal cannot guarantee survival.
A player may die before the timer expires.
The current location may restrict teleportation.
Or a dangerous mechanic may deal lethal damage before the crystal can help.
Don't Rely on Teammates to Save You
Some eligible Escape Crystal interactions can involve helping another player activate an emergency escape.
However, these interactions have their own requirements and limitations.
Do not assume another player can always trigger your crystal.
Your team should understand the exact supported mechanic before relying on it.
Each player should maintain a personal escape plan.
Chambers of Xeric – Hardcore Worlds Group Raid Guide
Chambers of Xeric, also called CoX or Raids 1, is one of OSRS's major cooperative PvM activities.
Players navigate different rooms, defeat bosses, solve challenges, and eventually face the Great Olm.
The raid rewards participation through a points-based system.
However, Hardcore Worlds makes the encounter much more dangerous.
Is Chambers of Xeric Safe in Hardcore Worlds?
No.
Jagex explicitly lists Chambers of Xeric among the unsafe activities.
A fatal death can end your Hardcore Worlds run.
This differs from traditional Hardcore Ironman rules.
Don't assume that the raid's usual ability to continue after a death protects your character.
Important Chambers of Xeric Encounters
The raid can include bosses such as:
Tekton.
Vasa Nistirio.
Vespula.
Vanguards.
Muttadiles.
Lizardman Shamans.
Skeletal Mystics.
Ice Demon.
Great Olm.
The rooms and layout can vary between raids.
That means your team must prepare for different mechanics rather than memorizing one fixed sequence.
How Chambers of Xeric Rewards Work
The raid uses a participation-points system.
Players earn points through eligible activities, including dealing damage and completing certain raid tasks.
Individual and team points influence rewards.
Under the normal raid system, dying results in a loss of personal points.
However, in Hardcore Worlds, the much greater concern is the unsafe death itself.
Losing points is insignificant compared with ending your run.
Great Olm Team Coordination
Great Olm is the final encounter.
The fight involves multiple mechanics, including movement, positioning, special attacks, and coordinated damage.
Players should agree on their positions and responsibilities before beginning.
Avoid copying advanced strategies without understanding why they work.
A player standing in the wrong location can create problems for teammates.
Chambers of Xeric Survival Tips
Learn the raid's possible rooms before entering.
Understand your team's preparation strategy.
Know how to handle each dangerous boss.
Bring appropriate combat-style equipment.
Keep sufficient supplies for the final encounter.
Avoid unnecessary risks for extra points.
Prepare an emergency exit.
Leave if your supplies or connection become unreliable.
For new raiders, practicing on a regular OSRS character is strongly recommended before attempting the raid in Hardcore Worlds.
Theatre of Blood – Team Coordination and One-Life Danger
Theatre of Blood, commonly called ToB or Raids 2, is one of the most demanding team-focused activities in OSRS.
It takes place in Ver Sinhaza and supports teams of up to five players.
The raid features multiple boss encounters that require strong mechanics and cooperation.
Theatre of Blood Bosses
The raid includes six major encounters:
The Maiden of Sugadinti.
Pestilent Bloat.
Nylocas Vasilias.
Sotetseg.
Xarpus.
Verzik Vitur.
Each has different mechanics.
Some require precise movement.
Others require combat-style switching, handling additional enemies, or coordinating around lethal attacks.
Why Theatre of Blood Is Dangerous in Hardcore Worlds
Theatre of Blood has a Purgatory mechanic.
In ordinary raid gameplay, a player who dies during a room may be able to rejoin after surviving teammates finish the encounter.
However, this does not make the death safe for Hardcore Worlds.
A fatal death can end your run even if the rest of your group completes the raid.
Theatre of Blood Entry Mode
Entry Mode is designed to provide a more accessible introduction to the raid.
Its enemies are weaker and some mechanics are adjusted.
It also allows repeated attempts under its normal raid system.
However, Entry Mode is still a dangerous death activity for Hardcore characters.
The ability to retry a boss does not protect your Hardcore Worlds progression.
Do not treat Entry Mode as a safe practice environment.
Important Theatre of Blood Team Mechanics
Your team should understand:
Maiden's blood-related mechanics.
Bloat's movement and danger zones.
Nylocas combat-style requirements.
Sotetseg's maze and attack mechanics.
Xarpus's positioning.
Verzik's multi-phase encounter.
These mechanics require different responsibilities.
A team should practice the specific room strategies before attempting a full Hardcore Worlds raid.
Theatre of Blood Escape Planning
Ordinary teleportation is heavily restricted inside Theatre of Blood.
Escape Crystals provide a special method of leaving under supported conditions.
Make sure every teammate understands how their crystal works.
Don't wait until your character is one hit away from death before deciding to retreat.
Tombs of Amascut – Team Invocations and Survival
Tombs of Amascut, also called ToA or Raids 3, is located in the Kharidian Desert.
Players must complete Beneath Cursed Sands to access the raid.
The encounter supports groups of up to eight players.
Its defining feature is the invocation system.
Invocations allow players to adjust raid difficulty and mechanics.
This makes Tombs of Amascut flexible, but also creates important risks for Hardcore Worlds.
How Tombs of Amascut Difficulty Works
The raid has three main difficulty ranges:
Entry Mode: Raid Level 0–149.
Normal Mode: Raid Level 150–299.
Expert Mode: Raid Level 300–600.
Higher raid levels generally increase enemy difficulty and potential rewards.
However, a lower raid level doesn't mean deaths are protected.
Hardcore Worlds players must still treat fatal raid deaths as dangerous.
Why Invocations Matter for Group Survival
Some invocations change how many attempts a raid party receives.
Others increase damage, modify mechanics, or add movement requirements.
The standard raid system may allow multiple attempts when certain death-limiting invocations are disabled.
However, this does not grant a Hardcore Worlds character unlimited safe deaths.
Even if the raid interface permits another attempt, a dangerous individual death can end your Hardcore Worlds run.
Recommended Approach for Hardcore Worlds Teams
Start by understanding the encounter's basic mechanics.
Only add invocations that every player can handle consistently.
Don't enable dangerous modifiers simply because they increase potential rewards.
A higher raid level isn't worth losing a developed character.
Important Tombs of Amascut Encounters
The raid includes paths associated with:
Zebak.
Kephri.
Akkha.
Ba-Ba.
The final encounter involves the Wardens.
Each path introduces different mechanics.
Your team should understand movement, protection prayers, positioning, and special attacks before entering.
Tombs of Amascut Team Survival Tips
Agree on the invocation setup before entering.
Use difficulty appropriate for the least experienced member.
Review each player's responsibilities.
Avoid unfamiliar invocations.
Prepare for the Wardens encounter.
Confirm each player's emergency escape options.
Stop increasing difficulty when mistakes become frequent.
A well-coordinated team using manageable invocations is generally preferable to an unprepared team attempting maximum rewards.
Nex – High-Level Group Bossing in Hardcore Worlds
Nex is one of the most powerful bosses in OSRS.
She is located within the Ancient Prison in the God Wars Dungeon.
The encounter is designed primarily around group combat.
Although highly experienced players can attempt unusual solo strategies, Nex is normally fought with a team.
Nex Access Requirements
Players must complete The Frozen Door miniquest.
This requires access to the four God Wars Dungeon faction areas and their associated requirements.
Because Nex is advanced content, new Hardcore Worlds characters should not rush toward the encounter.
Develop the necessary skills, equipment, and experience first.
Why Team Coordination Matters at Nex
Nex uses several phases and dangerous special attacks.
Players must manage positioning, attack styles, and additional enemies.
Some mechanics become particularly dangerous when teammates fail to react.
Ice Prison
Ice Prison is one of Nex's most dangerous mechanics.
A targeted player becomes trapped inside an ice formation.
Other teammates must destroy part of the prison to create an escape.
If the trapped player cannot escape, the prison can deal up to 75 damage.
This makes communication essential.
A delayed reaction from teammates can put the targeted player in immediate danger.
Blood Sacrifice and Other Mechanics
Nex also has dangerous mechanics involving blood-related attacks, movement, freezing, and other effects.
Players should learn how to respond to each phase before entering.
A mass encounter with many players doesn't automatically make these mechanics harmless.
Is Nex a Good First Group Boss?
No.
Nex is advanced PvM content.
Players should already be comfortable with boss mechanics, team communication, protection prayers, and emergency movement before attempting it.
For Hardcore Worlds, the safest approach is to postpone Nex until every teammate is well prepared.
Royal Titans – Two-Player Group Bossing
Royal Titans is another encounter worth considering when exploring cooperative PvM.
The encounter is designed with two-player combat in mind, although it can also be attempted solo.
Players fight the elemental bosses Brandr, Queen of Fire, and Eldric, King of Frost.
The fight includes different combat styles and environmental mechanics.
How Team Coordination Works
Ranged attacks, melee damage, and Magic utility can all contribute to the encounter.
Magic can be useful for clearing certain elemental obstacles and enemies.
Players should agree on who will handle particular mechanics.
However, both teammates need to understand the fight.
Why Royal Titans Can Be Useful
Royal Titans offers a smaller-group experience than major raids.
This can make communication simpler because only two players need to coordinate.
However, fewer players also means each person has greater responsibility.
If one player becomes overwhelmed, the other may need to handle additional mechanics.
Is Royal Titans Safe in Hardcore Worlds?
Do not treat it as an official safe-death encounter.
Ordinary fatal boss deaths remain dangerous.
Before attempting the Royal Titans, learn the mechanics and prepare an appropriate escape strategy.
How Team Size Affects Hardcore Worlds Survival
More teammates can offer advantages, but a larger team is not automatically safer.
Different encounters scale according to their own rules.
Some become harder with additional players.
Others allow a larger team to distribute responsibilities more effectively.
Advantages of Smaller Teams
Smaller teams can be easier to organize.
Communication is simpler because fewer players need to coordinate.
It's also easier to understand each person's responsibilities.
However, each player may need to handle more mechanics.
Advantages of Larger Teams
Larger teams may offer greater combined damage and more opportunities to distribute encounter responsibilities.
However, more players can create additional complexity.
Some encounters scale with team size, and certain mechanics can become harder when players are poorly positioned.
Choose Experience Over Team Size
For Hardcore Worlds, prioritize teammates who understand the encounter.
A smaller group of experienced players may provide a more controlled experience than a larger group of beginners.
However, the best team size depends on the specific boss.
Don't assume one party size works for every activity.
How Loot and Rewards Work in Hardcore Worlds Group PvM
Loot distribution is another important topic when organizing a team.
Hardcore Worlds allows trading, but group activities still follow their normal reward mechanics.
Boss Loot
Some bosses award drops according to damage contribution or specific participation rules.
Other encounters use different distribution systems.
Before starting, confirm how the boss allocates loot.
Don't assume everyone receives equal rewards automatically.
Raid Rewards
Raids generally use more specialized reward systems.
For example, Chambers of Xeric uses participation points.
Theatre of Blood and Tombs of Amascut use their own reward calculations.
Your contribution, deaths, and raid difficulty may influence the outcome depending on the activity.
Agree on Loot Rules Before Starting
If your team intends to share valuable drops, discuss the arrangement beforehand.
For example, decide whether:
Each player keeps their assigned drops.
Certain drops are shared.
A valuable item will be sold and the proceeds divided.
Players are participating purely for individual rewards.
These are player agreements rather than automatic Hardcore Worlds mechanics.
Make sure everyone understands and accepts the arrangement.
Avoid Risky Trust Arrangements
Don't hand valuable equipment to unfamiliar players based solely on promises.
Hardcore Worlds trading is permitted, but normal account-security and trading precautions still matter.
Use clear agreements and review every trade confirmation.
Communication Strategies for One-Life Team Survival
Good communication can make a major difference during difficult encounters.
However, communication should be simple enough to understand during combat.
Agree on Short Callouts
Use clear phrases for dangerous situations.
Examples include:
"Move."
"Switch Prayer."
"Special Attack."
"Heal."
"Out of Supplies."
"Retreat."
Avoid long explanations during mechanics that require immediate action.
Communicate Before Entering
Before beginning the encounter, discuss:
This reduces confusion once the fight begins.
Don't Overload Voice Communication
Too many players speaking at once can make important warnings difficult to hear.
For complex encounters, let the assigned player call the relevant mechanic.
Other teammates should communicate urgent personal dangers clearly.
Respect a Teammate's Retreat Decision
If someone feels unprepared or needs to leave, don't pressure them into continuing.
A player may have less food, unstable latency, or an unexpected equipment problem.
For Hardcore Worlds, leaving a dangerous encounter can be the correct decision.
Common Group PvM Mistakes That Can End Your Run
Some of the most dangerous mistakes come from assuming teammates will solve every problem.
Trusting an Unfamiliar Team
Joining strangers without discussing mechanics creates uncertainty.
You may not know whether they're prepared for dangerous phases.
Entering With Inadequate Supplies
A teammate's supplies aren't a replacement for your own inventory.
Bring what you need for the encounter.
Assuming Raid Deaths Are Safe
This is especially dangerous in Chambers of Xeric and Theatre of Blood Entry Mode.
Normal raid retry mechanics don't override Hardcore Worlds death rules.
Standing in the Wrong Position
Incorrect positioning can expose you or your teammates to dangerous attacks.
Learn assigned positions before entering.
Ignoring Group Callouts
Missing an important warning can cause fatal damage.
Stay focused during difficult mechanics.
Failing to Identify an Exit
Every player should know how to leave the encounter.
Don't assume the same teleport works in every boss arena.
Using the Wrong Escape Crystal Configuration
The crystal supports different behaviors.
Verify that your configuration is appropriate for the intended activity.
Increasing Difficulty Too Quickly
A team may complete an easy version of a raid and immediately want to attempt a harder one.
However, one successful run doesn't guarantee consistent execution.
Increase difficulty only when the group understands the additional risks.
Continuing After Repeated Mistakes
If your team is repeatedly missing mechanics, reconsider the encounter.
Continuing while unprepared can eventually end someone's run.
Chasing One More Drop
A valuable reward may be tempting, but it isn't guaranteed.
Don't continue dangerous content with insufficient supplies simply because the next kill could be profitable.

That depends on the encounter.
Some bosses are designed for groups, while others are more suitable for solo play.
Group PvM can offer coordinated damage and shared responsibilities, but it also introduces communication and teamwork risks.
Final Thoughts: Survive Together in Hardcore Worlds
Group PvM is one of the most rewarding ways to experience OSRS Hardcore Worlds.
Fighting alongside friends can make difficult encounters more engaging.
You can coordinate mechanics, share knowledge, organize equipment, and work together toward major PvM achievements.
However, teamwork doesn't remove the danger of death.
Hardcore Worlds uses strict one-life rules, and fatal mistakes can permanently end your current run.
Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, Tombs of Amascut, Nex, and other difficult encounters require preparation beyond simply having enough combat levels.
You need reliable teammates, clear communication, suitable equipment, enough supplies, and a practical emergency plan.
Start by choosing encounters that match your team's abilities.
Learn each player's responsibilities.
Review dangerous mechanics before entering.
Agree on loot expectations and understand the consequences of death.
Most importantly, don't pressure yourself or your teammates into continuing when the risk becomes unreasonable.
One completed raid is a valuable achievement.
But keeping every teammate alive is even more important.
For additional preparation, read our OSRS Hardcore Worlds First 24 Hours Guide if you're still developing your character.
You can also explore OSRS Coaching on BoostRoom for PvM and raid guidance covering Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, and Tombs of Amascut. Confirm Hardcore Worlds compatibility before ordering.
If you want to improve your mechanics before risking your character, focus on learning encounter strategies and practicing safely wherever possible.
Hardcore Worlds doesn't reward reckless confidence.
It rewards players who prepare carefully, communicate clearly, and know when to retreat.
Build a reliable team, master your mechanics, protect your one life, and survive Gielinor together.
