Who Is Bartuc in Season of Infernal Chaos?
Bartuc returns in Season of Infernal Chaos as the Lord of Chaos, an optional final boss connected to the reworked Infernal Hordes.
Season 10's storyline connects his return to the spreading Chaos Rifts and the Fell Council's activity across Sanctuary.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
From a gameplay perspective, Bartuc matters because he occupies a special position in the Infernal Hordes.
After completing a Torment-level Infernal Horde, you normally reach the point where you must decide how to finish the run.
You can fight:
The Fell Council.
This is the traditional ending to Infernal Hordes. It does not require the Bartuc Aether payment and remains useful when your main purpose is general Horde rewards.
Bartuc, Lord of Chaos.
This option requires a large amount of Burning Aether but provides access to one of the season's most reliable Chaos Armor sources and the opportunity to unlock Unique Chaos Perks.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview; Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
That choice means Bartuc farming actually begins before the boss fight.
If you do not generate enough Aether during your waves, there is no Bartuc encounter.
Your Horde strategy and your boss strategy are therefore part of the same farm.

How to Unlock the Bartuc Fight
Bartuc is available at the end of Torment-level Infernal Hordes.
Pre-Torment characters use Fleeting Hordes instead. Fleeting Hordes end against two Fell Council members and do not offer Bartuc as the final boss.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
To start the Bartuc farm, you need an Infernal Horde Compass and access to Torment difficulty.
Complete the waves normally.
When the final wave is finished, you receive the choice between the Fell Council and Bartuc.
Bartuc Costs 666 Burning Aether
The important number is:
666 Burning Aether.
You must have at least that much Aether available to select Bartuc.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
For group runs, every member of the party needs to pay the required Aether.
Blizzard also states that the first player who selects Bartuc determines the boss choice for the entire party.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
This is especially important when playing with random groups.
Do not assume everyone wants the same reward path.
If your group is farming Bartuc, agree on that before the run begins.
How Much Burning Aether Should You Farm?
Technically, 666 Burning Aether is enough to enter Bartuc's chamber.
But that does not mean 666 should always be your target.
Infernal Hordes contain additional reward options after the boss, and remaining Aether can still be valuable.
Wowhead's Season 10 Horde documentation notes that players looking to fight Bartuc and still afford the Greater Equipment reward need more than the basic Bartuc requirement.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
That creates two different farming goals.
Minimum Bartuc Run
If your only priority is fighting Bartuc:
Reach 666 Aether and protect it.
Once you are above that number, the boss is available.
This can be enough when you are specifically hunting Chaos Armor or Unique Chaos Perks and do not care as much about additional Horde rewards.
Full Reward Run
If you want Bartuc plus valuable end-of-run rewards, continue pushing Aether well beyond 666.
Ten-wave Infernal Horde runs are particularly useful because their additional waves and Chaos Wave opportunities provide more chances to generate Aether.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
The practical rule is simple:
Do not spend the Aether required for the boss you entered the activity to farm.
Why Bartuc Is One of the Best Chaos Armor Farms
Chaos Armor is one of Season of Infernal Chaos' defining systems.
These items are enhanced versions of selected existing Uniques that can appear in different armor slots.
Chaos Armor can occupy:
Helm.
Chest.
Gloves.
Pants.
Boots.
A Chaos version cannot occupy its original equipment slot.
It also receives a stronger Unique Power and at least one Greater Affix.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
That makes Chaos Armor valuable because it can solve normal Unique slot conflicts.
An item that usually forces you to use one particular equipment slot may suddenly appear somewhere else, freeing its normal slot for another important Unique.
Bartuc is valuable because he provides a much more predictable route toward these drops than simply waiting for random Chaos Armor.
Torment I
Bartuc has a chance to drop Chaos Armor.
This is useful while your character is still building enough power to progress upward.
Torment II
Chaos Armor remains chance-based from Bartuc.
Your objective here is generally to improve your build until Torment III farming becomes comfortable.
Torment III
Bartuc guarantees Chaos Armor.
This is the major farming breakpoint.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
For many players, Torment III can become the best place to farm Bartuc because you receive the guaranteed Chaos Armor reward without taking on Torment IV's additional difficulty.
Torment IV
Bartuc also guarantees Chaos Armor here.
Blizzard's launch adjustments increased Bartuc's Chaos Armor scaling through the higher Torment tiers, including improved rewards at Torment IV compared with the PTR implementation.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Diablo IV Patch 2.4 notes)
However, Torment IV is only better when you can clear it efficiently.
A fast Torment III Bartuc farm can outperform a slow Torment IV farm.
Preparing for the Bartuc Fight
Bartuc is much easier when your character is prepared for the mechanics rather than built only around maximum damage.
A strong Pit build can often work, but repeated Bartuc farming rewards a slightly different balance.
You want enough damage to shorten dangerous mechanics while maintaining enough mobility and defense that one mistake does not end the run.
Bring Strong Single-Target Damage
Infernal Hordes reward AoE because most of the activity involves enormous groups of enemies.
Bartuc changes that requirement.
Once you enter his arena, boss damage matters.
A character that deletes entire Horde waves but takes several minutes to kill Bartuc can still be a poor Bartuc farmer.
Try to balance:
Strong AoE for generating Aether quickly.
Strong single-target damage for Bartuc.
Reliable resource generation.
Short cooldown recovery.
Enough survivability to stay aggressive.
This is one reason all-purpose endgame builds are useful for the farm.
You need performance during both halves of the run.
Mobility Is Extremely Important
Bartuc's arena contains several attacks that require repositioning.
The Chaos Portal system also rewards players who react quickly and understand where each portal sends them.
Community Bartuc guides consistently recommend high mobility for this encounter.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide; Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
A movement skill can save you when:
Fire attacks restrict one side of the arena.
Projectiles are tracking your current position.
A beam moves through your current area.
You need to reach a Chaos Portal quickly.
Multiple hazards overlap.
Do not waste all your movement cooldowns for slightly faster DPS positioning.
Keep an escape available when possible.
Cap Your Important Resistances
Updated Bartuc encounter guides highlight Fire, Lightning, and Poison as important damage types to prepare against.
(Source: Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
If one of those resistances is badly undercapped, the fight can feel much more dangerous than it should.
Do not compensate for missing defenses only by adding more damage.
Repeated farming needs consistency.
A run that is ten seconds faster but occasionally dies is usually worse than a slightly slower build that never fails.
Understanding the Chaos Portals
The Chaos Portals are the defining mechanic of the fight.
Blizzard specifically tells players to use Bartuc's teleport pads strategically to gain the upper hand.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Several portals appear around the arena.
Entering one transports you to another location.
Their purpose is not cosmetic.
They allow you to cross dangerous areas and escape situations where ordinary movement becomes risky.
Learn the Portal Pairing Early
During your first few kills, do not focus exclusively on damaging Bartuc.
Watch the portal positions.
Learn where each one sends you.
Once you understand the pairing, the arena becomes much easier to read.
Instead of thinking:
“Where can I possibly run?”
You begin thinking:
“That portal puts me safely on the opposite side.”
That is the difference between reacting to chaos and controlling it.
Do Not Accidentally Trigger a Portal
The portals can also become dangerous when used carelessly.
Do not stand directly on one unless you actually want to teleport.
An accidental teleport can move you:
Into a projectile path.
Away from your damage window.
Into another active mechanic.
Away from teammates.
Onto the wrong side of the arena.
Treat portals like movement skills.
Use them intentionally.
Bartuc's Tracking Projectiles
One of Bartuc's recurring threats comes from projectiles that track your position.
Blizzard's official seasonal description specifically mentions Bartuc using Chaos Portals to fire projectiles toward the player.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
The simplest counter is movement.
Keep Moving Instead of Panic-Dodging
When a tracking projectile begins following you, do not immediately burn every mobility ability.
Move normally first.
Give yourself room.
Then use Evade or a movement skill if the attack overlaps with another mechanic.
The real danger usually comes from multiple attacks happening together.
A single tracking projectile is manageable.
A tracking projectile combined with a rotating beam, limited safe floor space, and a poorly timed portal position becomes dangerous.
Avoid Corners
Corners reduce your options.
If you kite projectiles into the edge of the arena, your next movement may be forced toward Bartuc or through another hazard.
Try to preserve open space.
The more room you leave yourself, the easier the next attack becomes.
Bartuc's Fire Beam Attacks
Bartuc can create rotating fire attacks around himself.
Current encounter documentation describes rotating fire beams that force players to reposition as they move.
(Source: Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
These become much more dangerous when combined with projectiles or portal mechanics.
Move With the Safe Space
Do not repeatedly cross the dangerous beam.
Instead, identify the safe gap and move with it.
This minimizes unnecessary risk.
If you become trapped on the wrong side, that is when a Chaos Portal becomes extremely useful.
Do Not Tunnel on Damage
Bartuc punishes players who continue attacking through every mechanic.
Stopping damage for a moment is better than dying.
During a dangerous overlap:
Move first.
Reposition.
Resume attacking once the safe area opens.
A dead character deals zero damage.
Electrical Beam Mechanics
Bartuc can also produce electrical beams that sweep inward across the arena.
(Source: Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
These attacks make portal awareness even more important.
Depending on your positioning, simply running sideways may not be enough.
If the beam and another hazard overlap, use a teleport pad or movement skill to escape the restricted zone.
Keep the Center Readable
One mistake is filling your own screen with effects and standing directly on top of Bartuc when you do not need to.
If your build works from range, create enough distance that you can actually see incoming mechanics.
Visibility is part of survivability.
If you play melee, learn the animation and timing so you know when to disengage.
Chaos Balls and Crossfire
Another Bartuc mechanic uses Chaos orbs or portals positioned across the arena, sending projectiles through the battlefield.
(Source: Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
The danger is less about one projectile and more about the temporary wall of movement they create.
Do not move blindly across the projectile line.
Follow the available gap.
If necessary, use a Chaos Portal to bypass the dangerous side entirely.
This is another reason mobility matters so much during the fight.
Shadow Waves
Later attack combinations can also introduce dark or shadow-like waves moving around the arena.
Current Bartuc encounter documentation describes multiple waves rotating in alternating directions.
(Source: Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
These attacks become difficult when you attempt to dodge against the movement pattern.
Instead:
Watch the direction.
Identify the nearest opening.
Move with the pattern rather than constantly fighting against it.
The boss is designed to test positioning more than raw toughness.
Bartuc's Shield Mechanics
Bartuc's defensive phases changed during Season 10's launch development.
Older PTR-era descriptions refer to mandatory invulnerability phases.
That is no longer the most accurate way to understand the live Season 10 version.
Blizzard's Patch 2.4 notes state that Bartuc no longer simply becomes invulnerable in the old way. The encounter uses the newer shield-based boss system.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Diablo IV Patch 2.4 notes)
Under this system:
A shield can appear around major health breakpoints.
The shield exists for a short duration.
Sufficient damage can break it.
Breaking the shield prevents the longer defensive transition.
Blizzard's boss-system documentation specifies thresholds around two-thirds and one-third remaining Life, with the shield lasting five seconds.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Diablo IV Patch 2.4 notes)
This creates an important optimization opportunity.
Strong Builds Can Skip More of the Fight
If your build has enough burst damage to break Bartuc's shield immediately, you can avoid much of the extended transition.
That dramatically improves repeated farming.
This is why boss damage becomes increasingly valuable once your survival is already comfortable.
The faster you break shields, the less time Bartuc has to fill the arena with dangerous mechanics.
Do Not Save Everything for Too Long
Burst damage is useful when the shield appears.
If your class relies on:
Ultimate skills.
Major cooldowns.
Resource dumps.
Vulnerability windows.
Stagger setups.
Consider how those tools line up with Bartuc's health thresholds.
The goal is not simply to produce the largest opening hit.
The goal is to remove the parts of the fight that cost the most time.
How to Beat Bartuc Step by Step
The fight becomes much easier when reduced to a few habits.
Enter With Your Movement Skill Ready
Do not arrive in Bartuc's room with every useful cooldown already unavailable.
Take a moment if needed.
Being ready at the start lets you react immediately.
Identify the Chaos Portals
Before the screen becomes crowded, locate the teleport pads.
Remember where they send you.
This becomes extremely useful later.
Begin Your Damage Rotation
Push Bartuc aggressively while the arena is clean.
Strong builds may remove a significant portion of his Life before the difficult mechanic combinations begin.
Watch for Tracking Projectiles
Move away from their path without using excessive cooldowns.
Leave yourself escape options.
Respect Beam Attacks
Do not stand still because your damage rotation is almost finished.
Follow the safe gap.
Use a portal if the arena becomes divided unfavorably.
Prepare Burst for Shields
When Bartuc reaches the relevant health breakpoint, be ready to damage the shield immediately.
Breaking it quickly can prevent a longer transition.
Keep Moving During Overlapping Mechanics
The hardest part of Bartuc is not usually one isolated attack.
It is the combination.
A fire beam alone is manageable.
A projectile alone is manageable.
A portal mechanic alone is manageable.
When they overlap, movement becomes critical.
Finish the Fight Before Greed Takes Over
If Bartuc is almost dead, players often stop respecting mechanics.
Do not throw away the run because the boss has a tiny amount of Life left.
Survive first.
Finish safely.
Then collect the loot.
How to Generate 666 Aether More Reliably
Bartuc farming fails before the boss room when your Infernal Horde does not produce enough Burning Aether.
This is why Horde strategy matters.
Prefer Longer Infernal Horde Runs
Infernal Hordes can have different wave counts.
Longer runs provide more opportunities to accumulate Aether and encounter valuable Infernal Offerings.
Wowhead identifies ten-wave Compasses as the safest option for reaching the Bartuc requirement while still generating enough Aether for additional rewards.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
If your objective is specifically Bartuc, longer Compasses reduce the risk of reaching the final selection without enough currency.
Take Advantage of Chaos Waves
Season of Infernal Chaos added Chaos Waves to Infernal Hordes.
These special waves are more dangerous than standard waves but can generate much larger amounts of Aether.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Chaos Waves can include unusual encounters involving:
Do not automatically select the most dangerous option simply because the possible reward looks higher.
Choose Chaos Waves your build can actually clear efficiently.
Movement Speed Helps Aether Generation
Aether events can appear around the Horde arena.
If your character takes too long to reach them, you lose potential kills and rewards.
Movement speed therefore indirectly improves Bartuc access.
It helps you:
Reach events faster.
Collect Aether faster.
Move between enemy groups.
Complete Soulspire-style mechanics efficiently.
Chase priority enemies.
Recover from poor event positioning.
A good Bartuc farmer should feel fast during the Horde itself, not only strong inside the boss room.
Choosing Infernal Offerings for Bartuc Runs
There is no single guaranteed sequence of perfect Infernal Offerings because the options presented are randomized.
The best choice depends on your build and the modifiers you have already stacked.
The main principle is:
Choose Aether generation you can execute consistently.
A modifier that theoretically produces huge Aether but slows your wave clear badly may be worse than a simpler option.
Build Around Your Strengths
If your build has enormous AoE:
Favor dense enemy events.
If your single-target damage is exceptional:
Priority enemy mechanics may become more attractive.
If your build is extremely mobile:
Mechanics that require crossing the arena become easier to exploit.
If your character struggles with one event type:
Do not keep stacking modifiers that make that weakness worse.
The purpose is not to create the hardest possible Horde.
The purpose is to reach Bartuc with enough Aether quickly and reliably.
Bartuc vs Fell Council
At the end of the Horde, you must make a decision.
If your goal is Chaos Armor, the answer is straightforward once you have enough Aether.
Choose Bartuc.
The Fell Council remains useful when your priorities are general Infernal Horde rewards and you do not want to spend the Bartuc cost.
But the Fell Council does not provide the same dedicated Chaos Armor guarantee at Torment III and IV, and it is not your source for Unique Chaos Perks.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
Use Bartuc when your goals are:
Use the Fell Council when your goal is mainly to finish the Horde normally and preserve Aether for other reward categories.
Farming Unique Chaos Perks From Bartuc
Chaos Armor is only part of Bartuc's value.
He is also the major source of Unique Chaos Perks.
Blizzard confirms that Bartuc can unlock Unique Chaos Perks in Torment difficulties, beginning at Torment I.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
This matters because Unique Chaos Perks can fundamentally alter how a build works.
Season 10 allows characters to equip:
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
That means repeated Bartuc farming can improve both your gear and your seasonal power system.
A stronger Unique Chaos Perk may then improve your Bartuc clear speed.
The farm begins feeding itself.
How to Farm Chaos Armor Efficiently From Bartuc
Once you can kill Bartuc consistently, your strategy should focus on runs per hour, not the prestige of the highest difficulty.
Farm Torment III First
Torment III is the critical threshold because Chaos Armor becomes guaranteed from Bartuc.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
If you can rapidly clear Torment III but struggle in Torment IV, stay in Torment III.
You are already receiving the guaranteed Chaos Armor drop.
Move to Torment IV When Clear Speed Remains Strong
Torment IV becomes attractive when your build can handle the entire Horde and Bartuc without significantly slowing down.
Blizzard increased Bartuc's reward scaling through Torment tiers during Season 10's launch adjustments.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Diablo IV Patch 2.4 notes)
But higher reward potential does not justify a huge loss in speed.
Compare:
How long does the Horde take?
How often do you die?
How quickly does Bartuc fall?
Can you reliably break his shields?
Can you still generate enough Aether without struggling?
Use those answers to choose your farming difficulty.
What Makes a Good Chaos Armor Drop?
Do not judge a Chaos Armor piece only because it is green and rare.
The real value depends on your build.
Ask three questions.
Is It the Correct Unique?
The first layer is obvious.
If your build does not use the Unique Power, the item may not matter for your current setup.
Did It Drop in the Right Alternate Slot?
This is extremely important.
Chaos Armor exists to break normal equipment restrictions.
An excellent Chaos Unique in the wrong alternate slot may still interfere with another essential item.
A slightly less exciting drop that lands in the perfect slot can create a much stronger overall build.
Is the Greater Affix Useful?
Chaos Armor always has at least one Greater Affix.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
But that Greater Affix may land on a stat your build does not prioritize.
The best Chaos Armor combines:
Correct Unique.
Correct alternate slot.
Useful Greater Affix.
Good synergy with your other equipment.
That is why Bartuc farming can remain relevant even after your first guaranteed Chaos Armor.
Solo Bartuc vs Group Bartuc
Both approaches work.
Solo Farming
Solo play gives you full control over:
It is ideal when your build can comfortably generate enough Aether and kill Bartuc alone.
Group Farming
Groups can clear Horde events faster and provide complementary damage profiles.
One player may have incredible AoE while another specializes in boss damage.
However, every player still needs the required Bartuc Aether payment.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Coordinate before the final boss selection.
If one player wants the Fell Council and another wants Bartuc, the first selection can determine the group's path.
Common Bartuc Mistakes
Entering the Horde Without a Bartuc Plan
If Bartuc is your target, your entire Horde run should be built around reaching the required Aether.
Do not treat the boss decision as an afterthought.
Spending Too Much Aether
Protect the 666 required for Bartuc.
This sounds obvious, but it is one of the easiest ways to ruin an otherwise excellent run.
Ignoring Chaos Portals
They are not decorative arena objects.
Blizzard explicitly designed them as tools for repositioning against Bartuc's attacks.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Learn them.
Use them.
Standing Still for Damage
Bartuc rewards awareness.
If several mechanics begin overlapping, stop attacking for a moment and move.
Using Every Mobility Skill Immediately
Saving one escape option can prevent a death when the arena becomes crowded.
Building Only for Horde AoE
Aether farming requires AoE.
Bartuc requires single-target damage.
Your build needs both.
Forcing Torment IV
Torment III already guarantees Chaos Armor.
If Torment IV is dramatically slower, you are reducing your actual farming efficiency.
Expecting the First Chaos Armor Drop to Be Perfect
The real chase is not simply obtaining Chaos Armor.
You want the correct Unique, alternate slot, and useful Greater Affix combination.
Diablo 4 Bartuc Boss FAQ
Where do I find Bartuc in Diablo 4 Season of Infernal Chaos?
Bartuc is an optional final boss at the end of Torment-level Infernal Hordes. After the final wave, you can choose between fighting the Fell Council or paying Burning Aether to challenge Bartuc.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
How much Burning Aether does Bartuc cost?
Bartuc requires 666 Burning Aether.
(Source: Wowhead — Infernal Hordes Guide)
Does every party member need 666 Aether?
Yes. Blizzard states that each party member must pay Aether to fight Bartuc.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Can I fight Bartuc in Fleeting Hordes?
No.
Fleeting Hordes are the pre-Torment version of Infernal Hordes and end against two Fell Council members.
Bartuc is part of Torment-level Infernal Hordes.
Does Bartuc guarantee Chaos Armor?
Yes, in Torment III and Torment IV.
Bartuc has a smaller chance to drop Chaos Armor in Torment I and II.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Is Torment III good enough for farming Bartuc?
Yes.
Torment III is extremely important because it is the first difficulty where Bartuc guarantees Chaos Armor.
If you clear Torment III much faster than Torment IV, it can be the better farming choice.
What are the most important Bartuc mechanics?
Watch for Chaos Portals, tracking projectiles, rotating fire attacks, electrical beams, projectile crossfire, and shield-based boss transitions.
Mobility and portal awareness are particularly important.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview; Icy Veins — Bartuc Infernal Hordes Boss Guide)
Can strong builds skip Bartuc's defensive phases?
Season 10 replaced older mandatory boss immunity behavior with shield mechanics that can be broken through sufficient damage.
Blizzard's Patch 2.4 documentation states that breaking the shield during its short window can prevent the longer transition.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Diablo IV Patch 2.4 notes)
Does Bartuc drop Unique Chaos Perks?
Yes.
Bartuc can unlock Unique Chaos Perks beginning in Torment I.
(Source: Blizzard Entertainment — Season of Infernal Chaos official overview)
Should I fight Bartuc or the Fell Council?
If your main targets are Chaos Armor or Unique Chaos Perks, Bartuc is the more relevant choice.
If you are mainly interested in ordinary Infernal Horde rewards and want to preserve Aether, the Fell Council may make more sense.
What is the biggest mistake during Bartuc farming?
For many players, it is optimizing only the boss fight.
You still need to generate enough Burning Aether first.
A perfect Bartuc build is useless if your Horde strategy repeatedly finishes below 666 Aether.
Conclusion
Bartuc is one of the most valuable targets in Diablo 4 Season of Infernal Chaos because defeating him connects Infernal Horde farming directly to two of the season's biggest progression systems: Chaos Armor and Unique Chaos Perks.
The fight itself becomes much easier once you stop treating the arena as random chaos.
Learn the Chaos Portals.
Respect the tracking projectiles.
Move with the fire and electrical attacks instead of fighting against them.
Keep enough mobility available for overlapping mechanics.
Prepare your burst damage for the shield thresholds.
Most importantly, remember that the Bartuc farm starts several minutes before you ever enter his chamber.
Your Infernal Horde needs to produce at least 666 Burning Aether. Longer runs, useful Infernal Offerings, strong movement, good AoE, and successful Chaos Waves all help you reach that requirement consistently.
Once your character is ready, Torment III is the key Chaos Armor breakpoint because Bartuc's drop becomes guaranteed there. Torment IV can provide stronger farming potential, but only when your build can clear it without sacrificing too much speed.
The best Bartuc farmer is therefore not simply the character with the highest damage number.
It is the character that can clear Horde waves quickly, generate Aether reliably, survive Bartuc's arena mechanics, break his shields, and repeat the entire process without wasting time.
Master that loop and Bartuc becomes much more than a seasonal boss.
He becomes one of the most reliable ways to build the Chaos Armor setup that defines your Season of Infernal Chaos endgame.
Players who want help with Infernal Hordes, Bartuc kills, Chaos Armor farming, or other Diablo 4 endgame progression can also use BoostRoom.
