How the Lucid Nightmare Puzzle Works

The chain begins with an Inconspicuous Note in Broken Isles Dalaran and continues through several legacy locations. Its objectives include:

• The Ulduar light puzzle.

• The Mindcraft puzzle near Ahn’Qiraj.

• The Shadoweave Mask step in Deepholm.

• The numeric consoles inside Gnomeregan.

• The Nightmare Tumor puzzle in Val’sharah.

• The Endless Halls beneath Kun-Lai Summit.

• The final mount claim inside the Forgotten Crypt near Karazhan.

Each clue must be completed in sequence. Skipping an earlier note prevents the next objective from progressing.

Endless Halls Completion

The Endless Halls contain a character-specific maze of similar rooms, looping paths and a hidden teleportation trap. Five colored orbs must be matched with their corresponding runes before the final clue appears.

Because the maze layout varies, another player’s completed map cannot simply be copied. Select the Endless Halls option only when you need this stage and every earlier Lucid Nightmare puzzle is finished.

• A character able to access the required legacy zones, raids and dungeons.

• An actual Shadoweave Mask for the Deepholm objective when that step is required.

• Your current Lucid Nightmare progress.

• Any additional requirements displayed with the selected offer.

A transmog appearance does not replace the physical Shadoweave Mask required by the puzzle.
