Complete the Inferno and Obtain Your Infernal Cape
The Infernal Cape is awarded after surviving all 69 Inferno waves and defeating TzKal-Zuk on the final wave. If an attempt fails, the Inferno must be restarted from wave 1.
The cape provides +4 melee Attack bonuses, +8 Strength, +12 defensive bonuses and +2 Prayer, making it the strongest melee cape in OSRS by overall combat bonuses.
Choose an Offer for Your Account Setup
Inferno difficulty depends heavily on your combat stats, Defence level and available equipment. Select a listing that matches the setup already available on your account.
Main Accounts
Main accounts with strong combat stats and high-level equipment generally have the widest selection of Inferno setups.
Depending on the offer, the run may be completed with equipment built around:
Twisted Bow
Bow of Faerdhinen
Armadyl Crossbow
Another supported Ranged setup
Always check the full equipment and stat requirements before checkout.
Pure and Low-Defence Accounts
The Inferno can also be completed on low-Defence and Pure builds, but these runs require more specialized execution.
Choose an offer specifically supporting your Defence level rather than selecting a standard Main-account service.
Zerker Accounts
Zerker builds can select an offer designed around their Defence restrictions, combat stats and available equipment.
Ironman Accounts
Ironman, Hardcore Ironman and Group Ironman accounts may also be supported where the required gear and supplies are already available.
Check the seller's equipment, ammunition, rune and supply requirements before ordering.
Fire Cape Requirement
Access to the Inferno requires a one-time sacrifice of a Fire Cape.
Once the Fire Cape has been sacrificed, Inferno access remains unlocked and another Fire Cape does not need to be sacrificed for every future attempt.
If your account does not yet have the required cape, choose a Fire Cape service first before ordering the Infernal Cape.
Combat Stats and Gear Requirements
There is no single stat requirement that applies to every Infernal Cape offer.
High combat stats make the Inferno considerably more manageable, but specialized services may support lower stats or restricted builds. General Inferno strategy recommendations commonly favor very high Ranged, Magic, Hitpoints and Defence, while individual marketplace requirements vary according to gear and account build.
Before ordering, check your:
Ranged level — determines available weapons and damage output.
Magic level — important for common Inferno utility and healing strategies.
Defence level — affects both available gear and the difficulty of the run.
Prayer level — determines which protection and offensive prayers are available.
Hitpoints level — affects survivability throughout the waves.
Equipment — confirm that your weapon, armour, runes and supplies meet the selected offer's requirements.
Choose Your Inferno Gear Setup
The primary weapon is one of the most important factors when selecting an Infernal Cape service.
Twisted Bow
Twisted Bow is one of the strongest available Inferno weapons and is commonly used for high-end setups.
Bow of Faerdhinen
Bow of Faerdhinen with suitable Crystal equipment provides another common Inferno setup and can be available for both Main and Ironman accounts.
Crossbow Setups
Some offers support Armadyl Crossbow or other crossbow-based configurations.
These setups can have different stat, equipment and pricing requirements, so select the listing that matches the gear you actually own.
What You Receive
A standard Infernal Cape order covers the objective stated in your selected offer, which may include:
Full Inferno completion
All 69 waves
TzKal-Zuk defeat
Infernal Cape acquisition
Your selected account-build configuration
The specific gear setup listed in the offer
A successful Inferno completion may also provide a chance at the Jal-nib-rek pet, but pet acquisition is random and is not guaranteed by a normal Infernal Cape order.
Why Upgrade from Fire Cape?
The Infernal Cape improves substantially on the Fire Cape for melee-focused combat.
Its +8 Strength bonus is double the Fire Cape's +4 Strength, while its melee Attack and defensive bonuses are also higher.
Choose the Infernal Cape when you want the higher-end melee cape progression rather than another Fight Caves completion.
