What higher difficulties give you
Most buyers order a Grim Dawn campaign boost on Elite or Ultimate for these rewards:
Legendary drops: legendary items almost never drop on Normal, so Elite and especially Ultimate are where endgame gear comes from.
Experience: enemies on higher difficulties are higher level, so your character keeps leveling toward 100.
Endgame access: Ultimate holds the toughest Shattered Realm shards and Celestial bosses, and opens Ascendant Mode at level 100.
Quest points: skill and attribute quests on a higher difficulty also grant the points from lower-difficulty quests you skipped.

Do I have to beat Elite before Ultimate?
No. Defeating Loghorrean on Normal unlocks both Elite and Ultimate for that character, so you can order an Ultimate campaign straight after a Normal clear.
Will my character level up during a Grim Dawn campaign boost?
Yes, and all experience stays on your character. If you need a specific level for your difficulty, add a Grim Dawn leveling boost first.
Does a campaign boost get me Revered with factions?
No. Story quests give some reputation, but Revered takes much more. Add a reputation boost to unlock each faction's best gear and blueprints.
Can I learn to clear Ultimate myself?
