Ways to grow your collection

Method

How the booster does it

Good for

Rescue the Geniemon events

Clears the enemies guarding a caged Geniemon, then feeds it for a guaranteed catch. These appear in the overworld and during Excavation, Termination, Exploration and Capture commissions.

Fast, sure catches, capped at 20 a week

Overworld catches

Tracks spawns with Bro Boxie's detection skill and wins the feeding mini-game with the right treats

Specific picks, rarer finds and shiny versions

Fishing

Fishes the spots where inactive Geniemon can be reeled in

Extra catches on top of fishing rewards

There are 24 Geniemon across seven elements: Anemo, Electro, Hydro, Lumino, Pyro, Umbro and Neutral. Each one gives a passive and an active skill once equipped, and shiny versions have an extra trait slot.

How it changes the order

Rescues

10 or 20 rescues, or 20 a week for several weeks

Rescues are capped at 20 per week, so larger orders run across several weeks.

Named Geniemon

The ones you want, by name or element

Rare and shiny ones take longer, because spawns rotate.

Upgrades

Catches only, or leveled and ascended

Upgrades use materials such as Yum-Yum Cream, farmed or taken from your stock.

Method

Piloted, or self-play for commission rescues where the offer includes it

Piloted: the booster plays on your character while you're offline. Self-play: you run the commissions together in co-op.

Platform and server

PC, iOS or Android, and your server

Your progress is shared across platforms, so any platform works.

Requirements

Before you order a Duet Night Abyss Geniemon boost, check that you have:

  • Catching unlocked through the special side quest Go, Geniemons!, where you rescue a caged Geniemon at Lamenting Lake. A story boost can include it.

  • Weekly rescues left, since the 20-rescue cap resets with the weekly reset.

  • Yum Treats in your inventory, unless the offer includes them. Better treats raise the catch chance in the overworld.

How the Duet Night Abyss Geniemon boost works

  1. Choose the number of rescues, any named Geniemon and upgrades, then pick a seller's offer.

  2. Compare offers from verified sellers and check out securely.

  3. Agree on a start time with your booster in the order chat, ideally early in the week.

  4. Get updates as each new catch joins your collection.

  5. Check your Geniemons tab in the Armoury and confirm the order.

How long it takes

Every offer shows the seller's delivery time. Ten rescues are the quickest order, because a rescue turns up every one or two commission runs. Twenty rescues take longer, and rare or shiny catches take the longest, since overworld spawns rotate.

Duet Night Abyss Geniemon boost FAQ

Why only 20 rescues a week?

Rescue the Geniemon events are capped at 20 per week. A Duet Night Abyss Geniemon boost uses the full 20 for you, and multi-week orders pick up again after each reset.

Which Geniemon should I get first?

Bro Boxie is the usual first pick, because its skill marks nearby Geniemon and chests and it speeds up exploration. For combat, choose one that matches your main character's element.

What does a shiny Geniemon do?

A shiny Geniemon has one more trait slot than the normal version, which makes it the stronger pick of the same kind.

Do Geniemon help my Trial Rank?

Yes. Each new catch adds Trial EXP. For a set rank, add a Trial Rank boost.

Can you farm fishing too?

Yes, through the farming boost, which covers fishing catches along with Coins and Secret Letter Clues.
