What's included in the Duet Night Abyss character unlock boost
The character you choose, unlocked with 30 of their Thoughts and redeemed in the Armoury.
Intron upgrades to the level in your order, each one paid with another 30 Thoughts.
The farming behind it: Secret Letter Clues, the character's Secret Letters and the Covert Commission runs, unless you supply the letters yourself.
Everything else from the runs, such as Silver-tier Thoughts and the materials from Bronze rewards, kept on your account.
Not included: character levels and ascensions, and the Demon Wedges for the new character's build. For those, see the character and weapon leveling boost and the Demon Wedge boost.
How Thoughts are farmed
Each character has their own Secret Letter, and every Thought comes from opening it in a Covert Commission.
The booster exchanges 10 Secret Letter Clues for one of the character's Secret Letters.
The letter is selected before a Covert Commission, and character commissions rotate every hour.
After each clear, the game shows three random rewards from that letter's pool, and the booster takes the best one.
A Gold reward gives 10 Thoughts but drops only about one time in ten. A Silver reward gives 2 Thoughts.
That's why one character can take many letters and runs, and why a full Intron 6 order, 180 Thoughts in all, is a long farm.

A new character's letters start in Immersive Theatre, move to Nocturnal Echoes and later reach the shop, so the source in your order depends on when the character arrived.

Requirements
Before you order a Duet Night Abyss character unlock boost, check that you have:
Covert Commissions unlocked through the Go, Geniemons! side quest. A story boost can include it.
A team that can clear level 40 missions, where Covert Commissions start. If your team is behind, add a leveling boost.
The right mode unlocked for newer characters, such as Nocturnal Echoes or Immersive Theatre.

How long it takes
Every offer shows the seller's delivery time. A character from Covert Commissions with your own letters ready is the quickest order. Intron 6, characters whose letters drop from weekly bosses, and orders where the Clues are farmed from scratch take the longest.

How many Thoughts do I need to unlock a character?
30 Thoughts unlock a character. Each of the six Introns costs another 30, so a fully upgraded character takes 210 Thoughts in total.
Can you unlock the newest character?
Yes, while their letters are available. New characters drop in Immersive Theatre for their first 28 days, so order early to get them during that window, or later through Nocturnal Echoes.
Can you upgrade my main character's Intron?
Not with Secret Letters. Your main character's Thoughts come only from the main story, so a story boost is the way to raise them.
What do Intron upgrades do?
Each Intron adds a bonus built around that character's kit, such as more crit chance or skill damage, and each one also gives 250 Trial EXP.
Can't I just buy Thoughts?
You can buy them in the shop with Phoxene Plumule, which you can add through Duet Night Abyss top-up. A character unlock boost earns the same Thoughts through play, without spending premium currency.
