Genshin Impact Bosses Guide: How to Beat Weekly and World Bosses

Bosses in Genshin Impact are stronger enemies that reward important character and account materials. The game generally separates bosses into Normal Bosses and Weekly Bosses. Normal Bosses are open-world enemies that mainly drop character ascension materials, while Weekly Bosses are stronger challenge bosses whose rewards can be claimed once per week and are mainly used for higher-level talent upgrades.

Many players call Normal Bosses “world bosses” because they are found in the open world. This guide uses both terms so beginners understand the difference: World Bosses usually means Normal Bosses, while Weekly Bosses usually means Trounce Domain bosses or special weekly challenge bosses.

Boss farming is important because almost every character needs boss materials. A character may need local specialties, enemy drops, elemental gems, and Mora, but they also need a specific boss drop for ascension. Later, when talents go beyond Level 6, many characters need Weekly Boss materials. That means bosses are not optional if you want a stronger account.

The problem is that boss farming can waste a lot of time and Resin if done without a plan. Some players farm the wrong boss. Some ignore Weekly Bosses until talents are stuck. Some fight bosses with the wrong element. Some use fragile teams and lose time restarting. Others keep claiming boss rewards after they already have enough materials.

BoostRoom’s main boss rule is simple: farm the boss that matches the character you are building, bring the right team for the boss mechanics, and spend Resin only when the reward helps your account.

Weekly Bosses vs World Bosses: The Main Difference

Weekly Bosses and World Bosses serve different purposes.

World Bosses, officially called Normal Bosses, are usually used for character ascension. Each Normal Boss has a unique character level-up material needed by specific characters. Normal Bosses also reward Adventure EXP, Mora, Companionship EXP, elemental gems, and artifacts depending on the player’s World Level.

Weekly Bosses are harder challenge bosses whose rewards can be claimed once per week. These rewards include talent materials used for higher talent levels, along with other valuable drops. Most Weekly Bosses are fought inside Trounce Domains, while Andrius is fought in the open world. Weekly Bosses are usually unlocked through Archon Quests or character Story Quests, and players at Adventure Rank 40 can use Quick Challenge through the Adventurer Handbook for locked Trounce Domains in single-player mode.

The easiest way to remember the difference is this:

World Bosses help ascend characters.

Weekly Bosses help upgrade higher-level talents.

World Bosses can be farmed repeatedly if you have Resin.

Weekly Bosses can only give rewards once per boss each week.

World Bosses cost 40 Original Resin to claim rewards.

Weekly Bosses cost 60 Resin normally, but the first three weekly claims each week cost 30 Resin.

Knowing this difference saves a lot of confusion. If your character is stuck at a level cap, you probably need a World Boss. If your talent is stuck above Level 6, you probably need a Weekly Boss material.

How Original Resin Works for Bosses

Original Resin is required to claim most boss rewards. You can fight a boss without claiming rewards, but the important materials usually come from spending Resin after the fight.

Normal Boss rewards cost 40 Original Resin. These bosses reward Adventure EXP, Mora, Companionship EXP, artifacts based on World Level, elemental gems, and unique character ascension materials.

Weekly Boss rewards usually cost 60 Original Resin, but the first three Weekly Boss reward claims each week cost 30 Resin. Trounce Domain rewards reset every Monday at 4:00 AM server time, and each Trounce Domain reward can only be claimed once per week.

This makes weekly planning very important. The first three Weekly Boss claims are Resin-efficient, so players often use them for bosses connected to characters they are building. After those three discounted claims, extra Weekly Boss rewards cost 60 Resin each. That can still be worth it if you need the materials, but it should be a deliberate choice.

A strong Resin plan for bosses looks like this:

Use weekly discounted claims on bosses that drop materials for active characters.

Use 40 Resin Normal Boss farming when a character needs ascension materials.

Avoid claiming rewards from bosses you do not need.

Do not use all Resin on bosses if talents, weapons, Mora, or artifacts are more urgent.

Bosses are valuable, but Resin is limited. Spend it where it creates progress.

What Rewards Do World Bosses Give?

World Bosses are mainly character ascension farms. When you defeat a Normal Boss and claim rewards with Resin, you can receive the boss’s unique material, elemental gems, artifacts, Adventure EXP, Mora, and Companionship EXP. Each Normal Boss has a unique character level-up material used by certain characters.

For example, a character may need a specific boss drop from a Hypostasis, Regisvine, Vishap, Mechanical boss, or regional boss. If you farm the wrong boss, that material may not help the character you are building.

World Bosses also drop elemental ascension gems. These gems usually match the boss’s element or reward pool. However, sometimes you may have enough boss drops but not enough correct gem pieces. In that case, crafting and conversion can help.

World Boss rewards become better as World Level increases. Boss artifact drops and material amounts depend on World Level, so higher-level accounts usually get better reward efficiency. This is why early boss farming should be focused, not random.

The best World Boss farming question is: “Which character needs this exact boss drop?”

If you cannot answer that, do not spend Resin yet.

What Rewards Do Weekly Bosses Give?

Weekly Bosses are mainly used for high-level talent upgrades. Talents above Level 6 require materials from Weekly Bosses, and each Weekly Boss has specific talent materials used by different characters. Weekly Boss rewards can also include artifacts, billets, Dream Solvent, elemental gems, Mora, Adventure EXP, and Companionship EXP depending on the boss and reward rules.

Weekly Bosses are more restricted than World Bosses because each boss reward can only be claimed once per week. If you need a specific material and the boss drops the wrong one, you may need to wait or use Dream Solvent.

Dream Solvent is a material that can convert Weekly Boss drops from the same boss into another drop from that same boss. One Dream Solvent is required for one material conversion, and there is no Mora cost.

This makes Dream Solvent extremely useful. If a character needs one material from a Weekly Boss and you keep receiving another material from that same boss, Dream Solvent can save weeks of waiting.

BoostRoom recommends saving Dream Solvent for characters you are actively building. Do not convert weekly materials randomly just because you can.

How to Unlock Weekly Bosses

Weekly Bosses are usually unlocked through Archon Quests or specific character Story Quests. This means story progress matters. If you are missing a Weekly Boss entrance, check whether you need to complete a quest first.

There is also a Quick Challenge feature. Once a player reaches Adventure Rank 40, they can use the Adventurer Handbook in single-player mode to challenge Trounce Domains they have not unlocked through normal quest progression yet. The normal domain entrances still unlock through the relevant story events, and the game recommends completing the story for the best experience.

This is helpful for players who pull a newer character but have not reached that part of the story. They can still farm needed Weekly Boss materials earlier, although the story context may be missing.

For players who care about story, it is better to unlock Weekly Bosses naturally through quests. For players who need materials urgently, Quick Challenge can help.

How to Unlock World Bosses

World Bosses are usually found in the open world. Some are visible on the map after exploration, while others may require quest progress, region access, underground routes, or special mechanics. Normal Bosses are fixed-location enemies, and their drops are tied to specific character ascension materials.

If you cannot reach a World Boss, check these possibilities:

You have not unlocked the region.

The boss is underground or behind a cave route.

A World Quest is required.

A puzzle or mechanism blocks the path.

You need to reveal the map with a Statue of The Seven.

You need to complete part of an Archon Quest.

You are looking at the marker from the wrong elevation.

Many newer bosses are connected to layered maps, underground areas, underwater routes, or special regional mechanics. If the boss marker looks close but impossible to reach, search for a cave entrance, underground teleport, quest path, or nearby mechanism.

BoostRoom recommends unlocking nearby waypoints before boss farming. Fast travel saves a lot of time when repeating boss runs.

How Boss Respawns Work

Weekly Boss rewards reset weekly, while World Bosses can be farmed repeatedly as long as you have Resin. Weekly Boss reward claims reset every Monday at 4:00 AM server time. Each Weekly Boss reward can be claimed once per week.

World Boss farming is more flexible. Game8’s current boss guide notes that after Version 5.3, World Bosses respawn as soon as rewards are claimed, making repeat farming faster and more time-efficient. Claiming rewards from World Bosses still costs 40 Original Resin, and Condensed Resin cannot be used for these boss rewards.

This means World Boss farming can be done in focused sessions. If you need six boss drops for a character, you can fight the boss repeatedly until your Resin runs out. Weekly Boss farming cannot be repeated the same way because each boss reward is weekly-limited.

The practical difference is important:

World Bosses are Resin-limited.

Weekly Bosses are weekly-limited and Resin-limited.

This is why Weekly Boss materials can feel slower to collect.

Can You Use Condensed Resin on Bosses?

Condensed Resin is useful for domains and Ley Lines, but it is not used for Normal Boss or Weekly Boss reward claims. Game8’s boss guide specifically notes that Condensed Resin cannot be used for World Boss reward claims.

This matters because some players condense all their Resin, then realize they need boss materials. If you need World Boss drops that day, keep Original Resin available. If you need Weekly Boss rewards, also keep Original Resin available.

A good rule is:

Use Condensed Resin for domains and Ley Lines.

Use Original Resin for World Bosses and Weekly Bosses.

If you plan to farm bosses, do not condense all Resin first.

Condensed Resin is still excellent for artifact domains, talent books, weapon materials, and Ley Lines. It just does not replace direct Resin for boss claims.

Best Team Building Rules for Bosses

Boss fights are easier when your team has the right structure. A strong boss team usually includes damage, support, survival, and elemental coverage.

A good boss team should have:

One main damage source.

One or two supports or off-field damage dealers.

A healer or shielder.

The right element for the boss mechanic.

Enough Energy Recharge.

A way to handle boss phases.

The best boss team is not always your highest-damage team. Some bosses punish certain elements, resist certain damage types, or require specific mechanics. A Cryo-focused team may struggle against a Cryo-resistant boss. A team with no ranged option may struggle against flying or moving bosses. A team with no healer may struggle against long fights.

For beginners, comfort matters more than speed. Bring healing or shielding. Bring food if the fight allows it. Learn attacks first. Once the fight feels safe, improve clear time.

BoostRoom recommends building at least one flexible boss team that can handle most open-world farming. That team should include strong damage, healing or shielding, and flexible elemental application.

General Tips to Beat Any Boss

Most Genshin Impact bosses follow patterns. Learning those patterns makes fights much easier.

First, watch the boss before attacking nonstop. Most bosses have clear animations before major attacks. If you learn the animation, you can dodge earlier and lose less HP.

Second, save stamina. Many players sprint too much and then cannot dodge when it matters. Use short dodges instead of constant running.

Third, bring a healer or shielder if you are learning the fight. Survival gives you time to understand mechanics.

Fourth, use the right element. If a boss has an elemental shield, core, armor, or phase mechanic, raw damage may not be enough.

Fifth, do not waste Bursts during invulnerability phases. Many bosses move, hide, fly, transform, or become untargetable. Wait for a real damage window.

Sixth, use food buffs in open-world boss fights if needed. Food cannot be used in Spiral Abyss, but it can help with many boss fights outside Abyss.

Seventh, upgrade weapons and talents. If a boss takes too long, the problem may be your builds, not only your dodging.

Eighth, use Co-Op when stuck. Boss farming should not feel impossible.

World Boss Strategy: How to Farm Character Ascension Bosses

World Boss farming should be direct and organized. Before you spend Resin, check your character’s ascension page and confirm the exact boss drop needed. Then farm that boss until you have enough materials.

A good World Boss farming plan looks like this:

Choose the character.

Check the boss material.

Unlock the boss location.

Unlock nearby waypoint.

Bring the correct element.

Use food or Co-Op if needed.

Farm until you have enough drops.

Stop and spend Resin elsewhere.

The biggest mistake is farming bosses “just in case.” Boss drops are character-specific. If you do not plan to build a character who needs that drop, the material may sit unused for months.

World Boss farming is most efficient when connected to a character plan. If your main DPS needs ascension, boss farming is a priority. If a support is already high enough for their role, extra boss farming may be less urgent.

Weekly Boss Strategy: How to Farm Talent Materials

Weekly Boss farming is slower because rewards are limited. You should plan Weekly Boss claims based on the talents you actually want to level.

A good Weekly Boss plan:

Check which talents need Level 7 or higher.

Check which Weekly Boss drops the material.

Claim that boss each week.

Use discounted claims first.

Use Dream Solvent if the boss drops the wrong material.

Avoid extra 60-Resin claims unless needed.

Not every character needs all talents above Level 6. Some characters only need Burst investment. Some need Skill and Burst. Some main DPS characters need Normal Attack, Skill, and Burst. Some reaction triggers may care more about character level and Elemental Mastery than talent levels for certain reaction damage.

Weekly Boss materials should go toward talents that matter. Do not spend rare weekly drops on talents you never use.

BoostRoom recommends making a talent priority list before farming Weekly Bosses. This prevents wasting materials on low-impact upgrades.

Which Weekly Bosses Should You Do Each Week?

The best Weekly Bosses to do are the ones that drop materials for characters you use or plan to build soon. Because the first three weekly claims cost 30 Resin, many players do three Weekly Bosses per week even if they do not need every material immediately. After that, each claim costs 60 Resin, so extra bosses should be chosen carefully.

A good weekly priority order is:

Bosses that drop materials for your active main DPS.

Bosses that drop materials for important supports.

Bosses that drop materials for characters you are currently building.

Bosses that drop materials for future characters you are sure you will build.

Bosses you want for Dream Solvent or billet chances.

Bosses you do not need can be skipped.

Beginners may not need every Weekly Boss immediately. Endgame players may farm more for long-term resources. Free-to-play players should be especially careful because Resin is valuable and Primogems should usually not be spent on Resin refreshes.

The answer is not “always do every Weekly Boss.” The better answer is “do the Weekly Bosses that support your account.”

How to Use Dream Solvent Correctly

Dream Solvent is one of the most useful boss-related materials because it fixes bad Weekly Boss drop luck. It converts Weekly Boss drops from the same boss into another material from that same boss. One Dream Solvent converts one material, and no Mora is required.

For example, if a Weekly Boss drops three different talent materials and your character needs one specific type, Dream Solvent can convert an unwanted drop from that boss into the one you need.

Use Dream Solvent when:

A character is blocked by the wrong weekly drop.

You are actively leveling a talent.

You need a material from the same boss.

You have extra unused drops.

Avoid using Dream Solvent when:

You are not building the character yet.

You may need the original material later.

You are converting randomly.

You have not checked which boss the material comes from.

Dream Solvent is valuable because Weekly Boss rewards are limited. Use it to save time, not to clean inventory without a plan.

Bosses and World Level

World Level affects open-world enemy difficulty and rewards. As World Level increases, bosses become stronger, but rewards can also improve. Normal Boss artifact drops and reward quality are tied to World Level, and 5-star artifacts from Normal Bosses become more accessible at higher World Levels.

This creates a balance. Higher World Level makes boss farming more rewarding, but underbuilt teams may struggle. If bosses suddenly feel too hard after a World Level increase, your characters may need better weapons, talents, artifacts, levels, or team synergy.

Do not immediately assume the boss is unfair. Check these basics:

Is your main weapon leveled?

Are your important talents upgraded?

Does your team have healing or shielding?

Are your artifacts leveled enough?

Are you using the wrong element?

Are you ignoring the boss mechanic?

If your team is weak, focus on guaranteed upgrades first. Weapons and talents often help more than random artifact farming.

Co-Op Boss Farming

Co-Op is very useful for boss farming. Co-Op Mode unlocks after Adventure Rank 16 and completing the early Archon Quest requirement, and it allows up to four players to play together in the open world and take on domains and other activities.

Co-Op helps when:

A boss is too difficult solo.

You need faster farming.

You lack the right element.

You want help learning mechanics.

You are farming Weekly Bosses.

You want to help a lower-level friend.

However, Co-Op has limits. Stormterror’s domain is excluded from Co-Op, and some activities must be started by the host. Co-Op also does not remove Resin costs; each player must spend their own Resin to claim their own rewards.

In Co-Op, bring a useful character. If everyone brings damage and nobody brings healing, the fight may become harder than necessary. A healer or support can be the most valuable Co-Op pick.

BoostRoom recommends using Co-Op without shame. If Co-Op helps you claim needed materials, it is a smart tool.

Boss Fight Preparation Checklist

Before fighting a boss, prepare properly.

Check the boss element. Do not bring a team that is heavily resisted by the boss.

Check the boss mechanic. Some bosses need specific actions to create damage windows.

Bring healing or shielding. This is especially important for beginners.

Bring food if allowed and needed.

Charge Bursts before the fight if possible.

Use the nearby waypoint for repeat farming.

Check if you have enough Resin before starting.

Confirm you need the boss drop.

Make sure the character you are farming for is worth the Resin.

This preparation prevents wasted time. A boss fight is much smoother when you enter with the right team and a clear goal.

How to Beat Hypostasis Bosses

Hypostasis bosses are cube-like elemental bosses. They usually have attack phases and vulnerable phases. The main rule is to wait for the core to become exposed, then deal damage quickly.

Hypostasis fights often punish players who waste Bursts during protected phases. If the boss is surrounded by cubes or moving through an attack pattern, wait. Use Skills to generate energy, dodge attacks, and save your major damage for the exposed core.

Many Hypostasis bosses also have a final recovery phase where players must destroy objects, apply elements, or complete a mechanic to stop the boss from healing. This is where bringing the correct element matters.

General Hypostasis tips:

Do not attack protected cubes randomly.

Save Bursts for exposed core windows.

Bring the element needed for final mechanics.

Use ranged attacks if the boss moves too much.

Learn the recovery phase.

Do not panic when the boss reaches low HP.

Once you learn the rhythm, Hypostasis bosses become predictable farming targets.

How to Beat Regisvine Bosses

Regisvine bosses are plant-like elemental bosses with weak points. They usually have a weak core near the base or head. Breaking the weak point knocks the boss down and creates a strong damage window.

The best strategy is to bring elements that break the boss’s core efficiently. If the boss is Cryo, bring Pyro or another effective element. If it is Pyro, bring Hydro or other strong elemental application. The exact team depends on the boss and your roster, but the general idea is to break the core first, then use your strongest damage.

General Regisvine tips:

Target the weak point.

Save Bursts for when the boss falls.

Do not stand directly in repeated ground attacks.

Bring healing if your dodging is weak.

Use the right element for the core.

Move away from large area attacks.

Regisvines are good beginner boss practice because they clearly teach weak points and damage windows.

How to Beat Mechanical Bosses

Mechanical bosses often have phases, parts, shields, movement patterns, or summoned objects. These bosses can waste time if you do not understand when they are vulnerable.

The key is patience. Watch which attacks expose weak points or create damage windows. Some mechanical bosses split into parts. Some summon smaller machines. Some move underground or become unreachable briefly. Do not use your full rotation during a phase where the boss is about to disappear.

General mechanical boss tips:

Learn the vulnerable phase.

Save Bursts for stable damage windows.

Bring enough damage for summoned parts.

Use ranged attacks if the boss moves often.

Avoid wasting time chasing if it will return.

Bring a team with consistent damage, not only one short Burst window.

Mechanical bosses can feel annoying at first, but once you know their pattern, they become much easier to farm.

How to Beat Elemental Bosses

Many bosses are tied to a specific element. These bosses may resist their own element or use elemental shields, cores, hazards, or attacks. The simple rule is to avoid relying only on the same element as the boss.

For example, if a boss strongly resists Pyro, a Pyro main DPS may struggle. If a boss uses Hydro mechanics, Electro, Cryo, Dendro, or other suitable elements may help depending on the fight. If a boss creates a shield, the correct elemental application may matter more than raw damage.

General elemental boss tips:

Do not bring only one element.

Avoid using a main DPS the boss heavily resists.

Bring shield-breaking elements.

Use reactions when possible.

Watch for elemental hazards.

Use food or resistance potions if needed.

Elemental boss fights reward flexible rosters. A player with multiple usable elements can adapt much faster.

How to Beat Flying or Mobile Bosses

Some bosses fly, teleport, dash, dive, or move around the arena. These fights can frustrate melee teams because the boss may leave your damage range during rotations.

For mobile bosses, timing matters. Do not use your strongest Burst right before the boss moves away. Wait for the boss to land, stop, or enter a vulnerable phase.

Useful tools include:

Bow characters.

Ranged catalysts.

Off-field damage.

Auto-targeting abilities.

Shields for safety.

Movement skills.

Strong damage during short windows.

If a mobile boss wastes too much time, adjust your team. A melee-only team may still work, but you need to learn the boss pattern carefully. Ranged options can make the fight more comfortable.

How to Beat Shielded Bosses

Shielded bosses require the correct element or mechanic. If you bring the wrong team, the fight can take much longer than necessary.

The most important rule is that shields are often broken by elemental application, not only damage numbers. A high-damage character with the wrong element may break a shield slowly, while a lower-damage character with the right element may break it faster.

General shield boss tips:

Identify the shield element.

Bring the counter element.

Use fast elemental application.

Save damage Bursts until after the shield breaks.

Bring survival while working on the shield.

Do not brute-force every shield.

If a boss has a shield phase, your team should be built around clearing that phase efficiently.

How to Beat Weekly Bosses Safely

Weekly Bosses are usually longer and more cinematic than World Bosses. They often have multiple phases, larger attacks, special mechanics, and bigger damage windows.

The safest Weekly Boss strategy is:

Bring a healer or shielder.

Learn each phase before rushing damage.

Save Bursts for vulnerable phases.

Do not stand in obvious arena hazards.

Use food if the fight allows it.

Revive carefully if a character falls.

Use Co-Op if the fight is too hard.

Do not claim rewards if you do not need them.

Weekly Bosses may feel hard at first because they often have more mechanics than Normal Bosses. But because you only need to claim rewards once per week, you do not need to speedrun them immediately. Learn the fight first. Speed comes later.

How to Beat Bosses Faster

Once you can survive, the next goal is faster clears.

To beat bosses faster:

Upgrade your main weapon.

Upgrade important talents.

Use correct artifact main stats.

Bring a buffer or resistance shred support.

Use reactions properly.

Save Bursts for damage windows.

Stop attacking during invulnerability.

Use food buffs if allowed.

Bring the correct element.

Use Co-Op if it saves time.

Many players try to improve boss clear speed only with artifacts. Artifacts help, but weapons, talents, rotations, and boss knowledge are often faster improvements.

If a boss takes several minutes, check whether you are attacking during bad windows or missing the mechanic. Sometimes one small strategy change cuts the fight time in half.

Best Boss Farming Routine

A strong boss farming routine depends on your current character goals.

For daily farming:

Check which character you are building.

Farm their World Boss if they need ascension.

Spend remaining Resin on talents, weapons, artifacts, or Ley Lines.

Collect local specialties between boss respawns or after farming.

Track materials so you stop when you have enough.

For weekly farming:

Choose up to three discounted Weekly Bosses.

Prioritize bosses tied to active characters.

Use Dream Solvent if needed.

Skip extra 60-Resin claims unless useful.

Claim rewards before weekly reset.

Do not let boss farming consume your entire account plan. Bosses are important, but characters also need talents, weapons, artifacts, Mora, and EXP books.

Boss Farming for Beginners

Beginners should farm bosses carefully. Early Resin is valuable, and low World Level rewards are not as efficient as later rewards. However, character ascension still requires boss drops, so boss farming cannot be ignored.

Beginner priorities:

Farm boss drops only for main team characters.

Bring a healer or shielder.

Use food freely in open-world fights.

Ask for Co-Op help if stuck.

Do not farm bosses for every character.

Upgrade weapons before blaming boss difficulty.

Keep talents updated when available.

Avoid fighting bosses with the same element they resist.

A beginner does not need to defeat every boss immediately. Focus on the bosses tied to your current team.

Boss Farming for Free-to-Play Players

Free-to-play players should be extra careful with Resin. Bosses are necessary, but farming unnecessary boss drops slows account growth.

F2P boss farming rules:

Farm only characters you use.

Use discounted Weekly Boss claims wisely.

Do not spend Primogems on Resin refreshes just to farm bosses unless you fully understand the trade-off.

Use Co-Op for hard bosses.

Save Dream Solvent for important talents.

Build flexible supports.

Prioritize characters who help multiple teams.

Do not over-ascend characters you will not use.

Free-to-play boss farming is about efficiency. A focused account with fewer built characters will progress faster than an account that starts farming boss drops for everyone.

Boss Farming for AR45 and Endgame Players

At AR45 and beyond, many players start focusing more on artifacts, but bosses still matter. New characters still need World Boss drops, and high-level talents still need Weekly Boss materials.

Endgame boss priorities:

Farm new character ascension bosses.

Keep Weekly Boss materials for important talents.

Use Dream Solvent when needed.

Claim discounted Weekly Bosses if they support future builds.

Avoid overfarming old bosses with no purpose.

Use strong teams for fast farming.

Prepare boss routes for future characters only when materials are confirmed.

Endgame players often have strong enough teams to beat bosses quickly, but Resin planning still matters. Even an AR60 account can waste Resin on boss drops that never get used.

Common Boss Mistakes to Avoid

One common mistake is farming the wrong boss material. Always check the character’s required drop first.

Another mistake is claiming Weekly Boss rewards from bosses you do not need while ignoring the boss your character actually requires.

Another mistake is wasting Bursts during invulnerable phases.

Another mistake is fighting elemental bosses with the same element they resist.

Another mistake is ignoring healing and shielding while learning.

Another mistake is not using Co-Op when stuck.

Another mistake is spending all Resin on bosses while weapons, talents, Mora, or artifacts are neglected.

Another mistake is forgetting Weekly Boss reset.

Another mistake is not using Dream Solvent when it would unlock a talent upgrade.

Another mistake is continuing to farm boss drops after you already have enough.

Avoiding these mistakes saves Resin and makes boss farming much smoother.

Best Boss Checklist

Use this checklist before farming any boss:

Which character needs this boss?

How many boss drops do I still need?

Does this boss require a specific element?

Is my team strong enough?

Do I need healing or shielding?

Do I have enough Original Resin?

Can I use Co-Op if needed?

Is this a World Boss or Weekly Boss?

Have I already claimed this Weekly Boss reward this week?

Would Dream Solvent solve the material problem?

Should I spend Resin here or on talents, weapons, artifacts, Mora, or EXP books?

This checklist prevents wasted farming and keeps your account progressing.

How BoostRoom Helps With Boss Farming

BoostRoom helps Genshin Impact players understand which bosses to farm, which materials matter, and how to stop wasting Resin. Many players struggle because they do not know whether they need a World Boss or Weekly Boss, which boss drops their character material, whether a Weekly Boss is worth claiming, or why a boss fight feels too difficult.

A strong boss farming plan looks at your characters, current team, materials, Resin, World Level, Weekly Boss needs, Dream Solvent, Co-Op options, and future goals. Sometimes the answer is farming a Normal Boss. Sometimes it is doing three discounted Weekly Bosses. Sometimes it is upgrading a weapon before fighting again. Sometimes it is bringing a healer or changing elements.

BoostRoom helps players farm bosses with a clear purpose, build stronger characters, and avoid wasting time on fights that do not help the account.

Final Thoughts

Bosses are essential for Genshin Impact progression. World Bosses help ascend characters, while Weekly Bosses provide materials for higher-level talents. If you want stronger teams, smoother exploration, better Spiral Abyss progress, and more complete character builds, boss farming needs to be part of your account plan.

The best boss strategy is not to fight everything randomly. Check what your character needs, farm the correct World Boss, claim Weekly Boss rewards that match your talent goals, use Dream Solvent when it saves time, and avoid spending Resin on materials that will sit unused.

Boss fights also become easier when you build smarter teams. Bring the right element, use healing or shielding, save Bursts for damage windows, learn boss patterns, and use Co-Op when needed. Many difficult bosses become manageable once you understand their mechanics.

BoostRoom is here to help players farm bosses efficiently, avoid common mistakes, and turn every Weekly Boss and World Boss fight into stronger Genshin Impact account progress.
