How Many Achievements Are in Gears of War: E-Day?

Gears of War: E-Day has 54 Xbox achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore.

These achievements cover Campaign progression, exploration, combat challenges, Horde Siege, Versus multiplayer, and long-term player progression.

The game also has a special completion achievement called The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day.

Originally, this additional achievement was planned for Xbox, but it was removed from the Xbox list at launch to support the upcoming Mythic Achievements feature.

It remains available on Steam, where the game displays 55 achievements, including that extra completion award.

Achievement Categories

The 54 Xbox achievements can be divided into six useful groups:

  • Campaign Story – 14 achievements.

These cover Boot Camp and important moments throughout the five Campaign Acts. Most unlock through normal story progression, making them among the easiest achievements to obtain.

  • Campaign Completion – 8 achievements.

These reward finishing the Campaign, playing cooperatively, discovering hidden items, completing secondary objectives, and beating Insane difficulty.

  • Horde Siege – 16 achievements.

These focus on Horde missions, equipment, class abilities, enemy eliminations, extractions, and squad cooperation.

  • Versus Multiplayer – 4 achievements.

These include mode-specific challenges and the demanding requirement to achieve 25,000 kills against opponents.

  • Combat Challenges – 9 achievements.

These reward particular attacks, executions, revives, enemy interactions, and unusual combat situations.

  • Progression and Mastery – 3 achievements.

These include major Player Level milestones and Dead Serious itself.

The hardest achievements require progress across multiple game modes. You cannot reach full completion by playing only the Campaign or only multiplayer.

How to Unlock Dead Serious in Gears of War: E-Day

Dead Serious is the biggest achievement challenge in Gears of War: E-Day.

It's worth 85 Gamerscore, making it the most valuable individual achievement in the game.

The developers brought back the spirit of the famous Seriously achievement tradition with a new set of demanding requirements.

To earn Dead Serious, you must complete four major objectives.

Complete 100% of the Campaign and Beat Insane Difficulty

Your Campaign completion must reach 100%, and you must also finish the game on Insane difficulty.

The full completion requirements involve several separate categories:

  • 140 standard Campaign collectibles.

Collect the hidden items distributed throughout the Campaign, including COG Tags and other discoverable objects.

  • 125 Hard Cases.

Find the Hard Cases scattered throughout the Campaign. These have their own completion tracking and are not included in the standard collectible count.

  • 17 Secondary Objectives.

Complete every optional Campaign objective and make sure each one registers correctly in your War Journal.

  • Campaign Supply Cache unlocks.

Unlock the available Supply Cache items. Although 36 Supply Cache stations are documented, discovering the stations and unlocking every item are not the same requirement.

  • Insane Campaign completion.

Finish all Campaign Acts on Insane difficulty to satisfy the difficulty requirement.

The Steam achievement wording and community-tested completion guides indicate that the 100% collection work can be completed on another difficulty, provided the Insane completion requirement is also satisfied.

This means players who prefer exploring on a lower difficulty can work toward full Campaign completion without collecting every item during the hardest combat encounters.

However, keep checking your War Journal and achievement progress to ensure everything has registered.

Get 25,000 Kills in Versus Multiplayer

This requirement is one of the biggest time investments in the entire achievement list.

You must accumulate 25,000 kills in Versus.

Unlike objectives involving a particular game mode, this is a large cumulative kill challenge.

The exact time required depends on how consistently you earn eliminations.

For example, a player averaging 20 qualifying kills per match would need approximately 1,250 matches to reach 25,000 kills.

That's only a mathematical example, not a guaranteed completion estimate. Actual match length, performance, and qualifying kills will vary.

The best approach is to keep earning kills through normal Versus gameplay while improving your overall combat performance.

Don't focus so much on the counter that you stop helping your team win.

Reach Maximum Player Level

Gears of War: E-Day uses a Player Level and Re-Up progression system.

Reaching Level 100 for the first time is not enough.

Players must progress through the available Re-Ups and reach the final maximum Player Level.

At launch, the system includes four Re-Ups, representing 500 cumulative levels of progression across the initial level run and subsequent Re-Up levels.

The related achievement is called Got Your Wings.

You should track your Re-Up progression rather than assuming your first Level 100 milestone completes the maximum-level requirement.

Player XP can be earned through multiplayer activity in Horde Siege and Versus.

Max Out All Four Horde Siege Classes

The final requirement involves class progression.

Gears of War: E-Day has four launch classes in Horde Siege:

  • Assault

  • Breacher

  • Marksman

  • Medic

Each class has 30 levels at launch.

You must reach maximum level with all four classes to complete this part of Dead Serious.

Remember that Player Level and Horde Siege Class Level are different progression systems.

Increasing your overall Player Level does not automatically max out every class.

The related achievement, Siege Specialist, confirms that you've completed the class-level requirement.

All 14 Campaign Story Achievements

Most Campaign story achievements unlock naturally as you progress through the game's five Acts.

You don't need to hunt special collectibles for these particular story awards.

However, finishing Boot Camp requires some attention if you're offered the option to skip the tutorial.

Boot Camp Achievement

  • FNG – 15 Gamerscore

    Complete Boot Camp.

This is the first achievement to target. Finish the training section instead of skipping it. If you've already bypassed Boot Camp, return through the available Campaign replay options to complete the requirement.

Act 1 Achievements

  • Emergence Begins – 15 Gamerscore

Unlocks through a story milestone during Act 1.

  • We Must Improvise – 15 Gamerscore

Continue progressing through Act 1 to unlock this achievement at its associated story event.

  • The Bigger They Are… – 15 Gamerscore

Another Act 1 story achievement. Its requirement is tied to normal Campaign progression.

Act 2 Achievements

  • The Scorched Legion – 15 Gamerscore

Unlocks during Act 2 of the Campaign.

  • You Want What On the Front of a Gun?! – 15 Gamerscore

Awarded through an Act 2 story milestone.

  • Got to the Choppa – 15 Gamerscore

Progress through Act 2 to obtain this achievement.

Act 3 Achievements

  • Get Back You Eight-legged Freak – 15 Gamerscore

    Unlocks during Act 3.

  • Twice the Pride, Double the Fall – 15 Gamerscore

Awarded through Act 3 story progression.

  • …The Harder They Fall – 15 Gamerscore

Another achievement connected to an Act 3 story event.

Act 4 Achievements

  • End of the Line – 15 Gamerscore

    Unlocks during Act 4.

  • The Only Good Bug is a Dead Bug – 15 Gamerscore

Earned through Act 4 Campaign progression.

Act 5 Achievements

  • Nothing Left but the Fight – 15 Gamerscore

Unlocks during the final Campaign Act.

  • For My Boys – 15 Gamerscore

Another achievement connected to an important Act 5 story moment.

The official achievement descriptions intentionally avoid revealing the precise events behind these story unlocks.

That makes them relatively spoiler-friendly.

Your main priority should be completing each Act and verifying that its story achievements register correctly.

All 8 Campaign Completion Achievements

Unlike the ordinary story achievements, these require additional effort.

You'll need to explore, complete optional content, and pay attention to your difficulty and co-op progress.

You're My Brother – 15 Gamerscore

Complete every Campaign Act in cooperative play.

Any difficulty is accepted.

Make sure each Act is completed in co-op rather than assuming that playing only part of the Campaign with a friend satisfies the achievement.

If you're missing progress, check which Acts were completed cooperatively.

Side Piece – 15 Gamerscore

Complete all Secondary Objectives in the Campaign.

The game contains 17 documented Secondary Objectives.

These optional missions appear during Campaign progression and can be missed if you rush directly toward the main story objective.

Some objectives become unavailable after you leave their associated section.

Pay attention to your War Journal whenever you enter areas with optional activities.

Relax. I'm the Map. – 15 Gamerscore

Discover every Campaign Hard Case.

There are 125 documented Hard Cases.

These are tracked separately from the standard collectible list.

Don't assume finishing your collectible achievement means you've already found every Hard Case.

Check the relevant War Journal counters to identify missing progress.

Memories From E-Day – 15 Gamerscore

Find all 140 standard Campaign collectibles.

These include hidden documents, COG Tags, and other discoverable items.

Collectibles are distributed throughout the five Acts, so you should inspect optional rooms and side paths rather than following only the main route.

You can use Campaign chapter replay to recover missing items.

Quartermaster – 15 Gamerscore

Unlock every available Campaign Supply Cache item.

This achievement is different from simply finding Supply Cache stations.

A Supply Cache lets you access weapons and equipment, while your unlock progress depends on the items you've made available.

Community testing indicates that picking up eligible weapons and equipment is an important part of adding them to the cache.

If your achievement progress is incomplete, inspect the available cache equipment and look for items you haven't collected.

Remember Kalona – 25 Gamerscore

Complete every Campaign Act on any difficulty.

You don't need Insane difficulty for this achievement.

Simply reaching the end of the complete story satisfies its standard requirement.

Today We Are Canceling the Apocalypse – 25 Gamerscore

Complete every Campaign Act on Insane difficulty.

This is one of the main difficulty-related achievements.

Insane requires careful use of cover, good positioning, and effective handling of dangerous enemy encounters.

Don't assume that completing only the final Act on Insane counts as finishing the entire Campaign at that difficulty.

For Whom The Bell Tolls – 75 Gamerscore

Complete the Campaign on Insane, finish every Secondary Objective, and find all required hidden items.

This is the Campaign's biggest completion achievement.

The 100% component includes your tracked Campaign discoveries and optional activities.

Steam's achievement description clarifies that the 100% completion requirement can be earned on any difficulty, while a full Insane clear is still mandatory.

This achievement is especially important because it contributes to the Campaign portion of Dead Serious.

All 16 Horde Siege Achievements

Horde Siege contains some of the most demanding multiplayer achievements.

Many require repeated missions, particular equipment, coordinated squad play, or extensive class progression.

Lift Outta Hell – 15 Gamerscore

Complete and survive 50 Horde Siege missions on Infantry difficulty or higher.

Successful completion matters.

Simply joining a mission or participating without surviving does not satisfy the stated condition.

Play at a difficulty your squad can clear reliably rather than choosing a much harder difficulty and repeatedly failing.

Best I Can Do Is a Pizza Party – 15 Gamerscore

Complete 100 Secondary Objectives in Horde Siege.

These are separate from Campaign Secondary Objectives.

When an optional objective appears during a Horde Siege mission, consider whether your squad can complete it without putting the main mission at unnecessary risk.

Reliable objective completion is more useful than repeatedly attempting tasks your team cannot finish.

Turn It Up to 11 – 15 Gamerscore

Execute 50 enemies that are stunned by the Sonic Disruptor.

The important detail is that the target must be affected by the required equipment when you perform the execution.

Simply damaging a stunned enemy is not the same as completing the stated requirement.

Coordinate with your squad if teammates are eliminating targets before you can execute them.

Never Fight Alone – 15 Gamerscore

Successfully extract from Horde Siege on Allfather difficulty with every squadmate alive.

Allfather is the required difficulty for this achievement.

A normal successful extraction on an easier difficulty does not count.

This is one of the challenges where strong class builds, communication, and survival matter far more than chasing individual eliminations.

I'm All Amped Up – 15 Gamerscore

Maintain 30 seconds of Adrenaline using the Injector in Horde Siege.

Prepare your equipment and understand how the Injector supports your chosen playstyle.

You'll need to keep the required effect active for the specified duration.

The achievement isn't simply awarded for activating the equipment once.

Spotted and Slotted – 15 Gamerscore

Pulse 1,000 enemies with the Pulse Drone.

This is a cumulative gadget challenge.

Use the Pulse Drone consistently when enemies are available rather than saving it without a reason.

Since the achievement tracks pulses, focus on correctly applying the equipment's effect to enemies.

Form-Up! – 15 Gamerscore

Receive the maximum reward from a Perk Cache.

Community-tested reports indicate that the highest reward is associated with reaching a Perk Cache before competing squads claim its top reward.

Pay attention when a cache appears and coordinate with teammates to reach it.

Don't confuse obtaining a lower-tier cache reward with fulfilling the maximum-reward requirement.

Who Loves Ya, Baby? – 15 Gamerscore

Revive 20 players from other squads in Horde Siege.

This achievement specifically involves helping players outside your own squad.

A normal teammate revive does not necessarily contribute to this particular counter.

Watch for opportunities to help nearby squads during shared Horde Siege activities.

Down, but Not Dead – 15 Gamerscore

Revive 250 downed squadmates using the Stim Vaporizer in Horde Siege.

The required equipment matters.

Standard revives performed without the specified Stim Vaporizer effect should not be assumed to count.

If you enjoy playing Medic, this achievement fits naturally into your class progression.

Stacks, On Stacks, On Stacks – 15 Gamerscore

Spend 150,000 Energy at the Supply Cache in Horde Siege.

This measures Energy spent, not Energy merely collected.

Spend Energy on useful equipment and resources as you play.

Avoid buying equipment you don't need just to increase the counter if it leaves your squad unprepared for the mission.

Like a Boss – 15 Gamerscore

Successfully complete 25 Invasion Events in Horde Siege.

The achievement counts successful event completions.

Participate when your squad is ready, contribute to the objectives, and prioritize successful outcomes.

An event attempt that ends in failure should not be counted as completed.

This Is My Rifle – 15 Gamerscore

Unlock every Weapon Mod in Horde Siege.

Class progression makes Weapon Mods available, and Weapon Parts are used to acquire them.

Weapon Parts can be earned through Horde Siege activities, including successfully extracting with collected parts.

As you level your classes, check which mods are still unavailable.

Don't confuse unlocking a class level with purchasing every associated Weapon Mod.

Crepe du Raven – 15 Gamerscore

Inspect the underside of a Raven in Horde Siege.

The achievement description is intentionally unusual.

Community guides report that getting underneath the extraction Raven as it lands can trigger the requirement.

This interaction may result in your character being crushed, so it is better attempted when you aren't risking an important squad extraction.

Treat this as a special environmental challenge rather than a normal combat objective.

I Didn't Hear No Bell – 15 Gamerscore

Save your entire squad while you're moments from death in Horde Siege.

This achievement requires a specific dangerous situation.

Your squad must be in serious trouble, and your actions must contribute to saving everyone.

The official description does not provide a complete numerical trigger or exact combat condition.

Avoid assuming that an ordinary revive automatically satisfies it.

I WILL MASSACRE YOU – 25 Gamerscore

Kill 50,000 enemies in Horde Siege.

This is one of the largest cumulative challenges in the game.

Your kills across qualifying Horde Siege gameplay contribute toward the total.

Choose class builds and difficulty levels that let you eliminate enemies consistently while still completing missions.

The achievement accepts any Horde Siege difficulty.

Siege Specialist – 25 Gamerscore

Reach maximum level with Assault, Breacher, Marksman, and Medic.

Every class must reach Level 30 under the launch progression system.

You cannot complete the achievement by maxing a single favorite class.

Check each class's progress individually and make sure all four have reached their maximum level.

All 4 Versus Multiplayer Achievements

Versus achievements reward a combination of objective play, map interactions, and long-term combat performance.

Three are relatively specific challenges, while one requires an enormous number of kills.

Somebody Set Us Up the Bomb – 15 Gamerscore

Plant the bomb in Demolition and have it explode without the opposing team defusing it.

Planting alone isn't enough.

Your team must protect the bomb until detonation.

After planting, avoid unnecessary fights that expose the site.

Focus on preventing defenders from reaching and defusing the bomb.

It Only Game, Why You Heff to Be Mad? – 15 Gamerscore

Win a Conquest match without the opposing team scoring.

This is a shutout achievement.

Your team must maintain enough objective control to prevent the opposition from earning any score.

Strong positioning and communication are especially useful.

Don't abandon the controlled zone to chase opponents when defending the objective would be more valuable.

Days Since Last Accident: 0 – 15 Gamerscore

Cause a workplace safety accident on Battleship in Versus.

Community achievement solutions identify the overhead mine hazards on Battleship as the key interaction.

The map contains controls that can release dangerous suspended mines.

Timing the hazard so it eliminates an opponent is the documented way to earn the achievement.

Pay attention to the map's environmental controls when Battleship appears in the multiplayer rotation.

HEY NOW, YOU'RE AN ALL STAR… – 25 Gamerscore

Get 25,000 kills in Versus.

This is one of the four main requirements for Dead Serious.

There is no verified shortcut that bypasses the large cumulative total.

Focus on modes you enjoy, improve your combat fundamentals, and track the counter as you continue playing.

The requirement is based on Versus kills, not your total enemy kills from every game mode.

All 9 Combat and Special Achievements

These achievements involve particular enemies, weapons, and combat interactions.

Some can be completed quickly once you understand their requirements.

Others need the right situation or equipment.

Just Let Me Get One More… – 15 Gamerscore

Perform 100 revives.

Support teammates whenever it's safe to do so.

Unlike the Stim Vaporizer achievement, this one is described as a general revive requirement.

Don't sacrifice your own survival by attempting every revive in the middle of overwhelming enemy fire.

I Am Heavy Weapons Guy – 15 Gamerscore

Kill 10 enemies consecutively using a single detached turret.

The achievement specifically requires one detached turret.

It isn't simply a challenge to earn 10 kills with any heavy weapon.

Choose an encounter with enough enemies, position yourself carefully, and avoid wasting the turret's available firepower.

Brotector – 15 Gamerscore

Save another player from a struggle with a Locust.

Watch for teammates caught in an enemy grapple.

Intervene and free them before the enemy finishes the attack.

This requires an actual rescue interaction, not simply reviving someone after they've been downed.

Okay, Boomer. – 15 Gamerscore

Carve up a Boomer.

Community-tested solutions describe weakening a Boomer and then finishing it with the Prototype Lancer's chainsaw.

The important part is using the chainsaw execution instead of an ordinary gunshot kill.

Attempt the finisher when the target has taken enough damage for the execution to work.

Right in the Ticker – 15 Gamerscore

Send a Ticker back into an Emergence Hole.

Community guides confirm that kicking a Ticker into an active Emergence Hole is the intended interaction.

Don't simply eliminate the Ticker with gunfire.

Position yourself so the kick sends it toward the opening.

A suitable encounter with a nearby active Emergence Hole makes this easier to attempt.

Chainsaw Go Brrrrrrrrr – 15 Gamerscore

Use a chainsaw against a Locust in Campaign or Horde Siege.

Equip a weapon with the required chainsaw function, approach an appropriate enemy, and perform the chainsaw attack.

Unlike the Boomer achievement, this one does not require a particular larger enemy.

Explosive Indigestion – 15 Gamerscore

Explode a Bilefrog from the inside.

Community guides describe throwing or firing an explosive into a Bilefrog's mouth while it prepares its attack.

Timing is important because the mouth must be open.

Aim carefully rather than simply throwing explosives toward the creature's body.

Two Grubs, One Gut-Punch – 15 Gamerscore

Hit two Grubs with a single Gut-Puncher round.

Look for an opportunity where two eligible enemies are positioned close enough for the same shot to affect both.

The achievement requires the single-shot interaction, so eliminating two enemies with separate attacks does not meet its wording.

Payback's A Pitch – 15 Gamerscore

Take revenge on an Armored Wretch after it stuns you.

Allow the relevant enemy interaction to occur, recover, and defeat the Armored Wretch responsible.

Simply eliminating an Armored Wretch without first experiencing its stun does not satisfy the stated revenge condition.

All 3 Progression and Mastery Achievements

These are closely connected to the final Dead Serious challenge.

Field Service – 15 Gamerscore

Reach Player Level 100 and perform your first Re-Up.

This introduces the long-term multiplayer progression system.

Reaching Level 100 is only part of the requirement.

You must complete the Re-Up action to earn the achievement.

Got Your Wings – 25 Gamerscore

Reach the final Re-Up progression milestone and claim your wings.

The launch progression system includes four available Re-Ups.

You must progress through the full system and reach maximum Player Level.

This achievement contributes directly to Dead Serious.

Dead Serious – 85 Gamerscore

Complete all four mastery requirements:

  • Finish the Campaign on Insane and reach 100% Campaign completion.

  • Earn 25,000 Versus kills.

  • Reach maximum Player Level.

  • Max out all four Horde Siege classes.

This is the game's biggest achievement challenge and one of the main reasons full completion requires extensive time across multiple modes.

What Rewards Do You Get for Dead Serious?

Dead Serious offers more than Gamerscore.

The Coalition has confirmed several exclusive cosmetic and profile rewards for players who earn the achievement.

These include:

  • Exclusive Medal.

A special achievement-related Medal recognizing completion of the Dead Serious requirements.

  • Player Title.

A title that allows you to display your achievement accomplishment through player customization.

  • Banner.

An exclusive customization reward associated with completing the challenge.

  • Emblem.

Another cosmetic reward that recognizes your achievement progress.

  • Icon.

A special icon tied to Dead Serious completion.

  • Legendary Character Skin.

The developers have confirmed an exclusive Legendary Character skin for earning Dead Serious.

The skin is planned to debut at the start of Season 2.

The exact appearance of the Dead Serious Legendary Character skin has not yet been officially revealed in the information used for this guide.

Don't trust images claiming to show the final reward unless they come from an official reveal.

The important confirmed detail is that Dead Serious has a dedicated Legendary Character reward, making it more than a completion badge.

Best Tips for Completing Every Achievement

There are several ways to make achievement hunting less frustrating.

The goal isn't to rush through every challenge. It's to avoid repeating work unnecessarily.

Use the War Journal for Campaign Completion

The War Journal is one of your most useful tools.

It helps you identify which Campaign categories still need attention.

Pay special attention to:

  • Missing standard collectibles.

  • Unfound Hard Cases.

  • Incomplete Secondary Objectives.

  • Supply Cache progress.

  • Campaign difficulty completion.

Before leaving an important Campaign area, check whether you've missed something.

This can save you from replaying a large section later.

Keep Campaign Collectibles Separate From Hard Cases

These categories are not interchangeable.

Finding all 140 standard collectibles does not automatically complete the 125 Hard Case requirement.

Likewise, finding every Hard Case does not finish your Secondary Objectives.

Always check each completion category individually.

This is one of the easiest ways to avoid getting stuck near 100%.

Use Campaign Replay to Fix Missing Progress

If you finish the story and discover that you're missing a collectible, you don't necessarily need to start everything again.

Chapter replay lets players revisit earlier Campaign sections.

Use the War Journal to narrow down where your missing progress appears.

Then replay the relevant section and confirm the item registers.

Be particularly careful around story transitions and optional objectives.

Some opportunities are easy to overlook while concentrating on combat.

Combine Horde Siege Objectives With Class Leveling

Horde Siege has several achievements that benefit from being completed together.

For example, while leveling Medic, you can work toward revive-related achievements.

While playing other classes, you can earn enemy kills, complete Invasion Events, gather Weapon Parts, and work toward mission completion milestones.

The most useful approach is to choose equipment and activities that support your class's strengths while contributing to outstanding achievements.

This helps you make meaningful progress without constantly switching your goals.

Don't Ignore Weapon Mod Unlocks

Reaching a class's maximum level does not automatically mean you've purchased every Weapon Mod.

Weapon Mods must become available through progression and then be acquired with the required Weapon Parts.

Check your remaining unlocks before assuming class mastery has completed everything.

The This Is My Rifle achievement specifically requires all Horde Siege Weapon Mods.

Practice Insane Difficulty Without Rushing

Insane can punish poor positioning and unnecessary movement.

Treat every difficult encounter as a problem you need to solve.

Identify enemy threats, use reliable cover, and avoid exposing yourself just to finish an opponent faster.

If a strategy repeatedly fails, change your position or approach.

You don't have to defeat every enemy in the most aggressive way possible.

You need to survive and complete the required Campaign sections.

Keep the Versus Kill Requirement in Perspective

The 25,000-kill achievement can feel overwhelming if you focus only on the final total.

Instead, use regular multiplayer sessions to improve your abilities while accumulating kills naturally.

Track your results and learn which situations produce consistent eliminations.

Avoid unnecessary deaths, understand your weapons, and work with your teammates.

Improving your skill makes the grind more enjoyable and helps you contribute to match victories.

Common Achievement Hunting Mistakes

Even experienced players can lose progress or create unnecessary work by misunderstanding achievement requirements.

Skipping Boot Camp

FNG requires Boot Camp completion.

Skipping the opening tutorial can leave this achievement incomplete.

If you've already skipped it, return and complete Boot Camp through the available replay options.

Confusing Supply Cache Stations With Items

Quartermaster requires all eligible Supply Cache items to be unlocked.

Simply finding every Supply Cache station isn't sufficient proof that the achievement is complete.

Check your item unlock progress instead.

Assuming All Kills Count Toward Dead Serious

Dead Serious requires 25,000 kills specifically in Versus.

Horde Siege enemy kills contribute to other achievements, including I WILL MASSACRE YOU, but they don't replace the Versus requirement.

Forgetting One Horde Siege Class

Maxing Assault, Breacher, and Marksman isn't enough if Medic is still below Level 30.

The achievement requires all four launch classes.

Check each class before assuming the requirement is finished.

Thinking Level 100 Means Maximum Player Level

Your first Level 100 milestone leads into the Re-Up system.

Dead Serious requires the full Player Level progression.

Don't confuse Field Service with Got Your Wings.

Attempting Allfather Without Preparation

Never Fight Alone requires a successful Allfather extraction with every squadmate alive.

A prepared team has a better chance than a group attempting the hardest difficulty without sufficient equipment or coordination.

Choose survival and extraction over unnecessary combat risks.

Ignoring Achievement Tracking Problems

Some achievements and Campaign rewards experienced tracking issues after launch.

If a requirement appears complete but the achievement hasn't unlocked, verify your current progress before repeating a large challenge.

Don't immediately assume your entire save is unusable.

Gears of War: E-Day Achievements Not Unlocking – How to Fix Progress Issues

Achievement tracking problems were among the issues addressed in the October 14, 2026 update.

The Coalition fixed several problems involving War Journal and achievement progress.

However, some important limitations remained.

Missing Campaign Collectibles

The developers explained that previously missing collectibles could not always be automatically restored.

Players affected by the issue may need to revisit the relevant Campaign sections and collect the missing items again.

Start by inspecting your War Journal.

If an item is missing from its recorded category, return to the associated chapter and try collecting it again.

Missing Campaign Rewards

Some players experienced problems receiving rewards such as character skins or titles after completing Campaign requirements.

The official patch notes explained that certain missing rewards could be earned again by replaying an appropriate completed mission.

Before replaying, verify that you're using the updated game version.

Achievements Completed but Still Locked

If your achievement progress appears complete but the unlock hasn't triggered:

  • Check the in-game requirement.

Confirm the correct mode, difficulty, equipment, and completion conditions were used.

  • Inspect your progress tracker.

Check whether the achievement counter is actually complete or whether one requirement remains unfinished.

  • Verify your game is updated.

Use the latest available version to benefit from released tracking fixes.

  • Retry the relevant activity if necessary.

For Campaign rewards, replaying the affected mission may help restore missing completion rewards.

  • Contact official support for persistent problems.

Some known achievement issues require developer investigation and cannot be reliably solved through a universal player workaround.

Never delete your existing progress or reset your entire Campaign merely because one achievement fails to appear.

Verify the issue first.

Conclusion – Complete Every Achievement and Earn Dead Serious

Unlocking every achievement in Gears of War: E-Day is a huge challenge, but understanding the requirements makes the process much easier.

Some achievements unlock naturally while playing through the Campaign. Others require careful exploration, unusual combat interactions, teamwork, and plenty of multiplayer experience.

The biggest obstacle is Dead Serious.

To earn it, you'll need to complete the Campaign on Insane with full completion progress, eliminate 25,000 opponents in Versus, reach maximum Player Level, and master all four Horde Siege classes.

That's a challenge covering almost everything the game offers.

The best way to succeed is to focus on accurate progress tracking, avoid repeating unnecessary work, and understand what each achievement actually requires.

Use your War Journal to identify missing Campaign items. Complete the Horde Siege objectives that fit your classes. Improve your performance in Versus while working toward the enormous kill requirement.

And remember that collecting every achievement is about consistent progress, not finding an imaginary shortcut.
