Element Fission Gear Quality
There are six gear quality levels.
Quality determines how many substats a piece starts with.
Normal: 0 substats
Uncommon: 1 substat
Premium: 2 substats
Expert: 3 substats
Legendary: 4 substats
Brilliant: 5 substats
This makes higher-quality gear attractive because more of the item's potential is visible immediately. A Brilliant piece already starts with five substats, while a lower-quality piece has fewer starting substats and can gain additional ones through upgrades.
Why Quality Matters
Imagine two pieces with the same slot and main stat.
One is Uncommon and another is Legendary.
The Legendary piece begins with more substats, giving you much more information about whether the item fits your build.
More starting substats also create more opportunities for useful combinations such as:
Quality is important, but it should never be evaluated alone.
A Brilliant piece with the wrong main stat and poor substats can still be worse than a lower-quality piece with exactly the stats your Elemon needs.
Gear Star Grades
Element Fission gear also has a separate star grade.
Star grade determines the item's maximum power-up level.
1-Star: maximum +3
2-Star: maximum +6
3-Star: maximum +9
4-Star: maximum +12
5-Star: maximum +15
This distinction between quality and star grade is important.
Quality determines the number of starting substats.
Star grade determines how many upgrade milestones the item can reach.
A 5-star piece therefore has the greatest upgrade ceiling.
Understanding the Six Gear Slots
Equipment uses six slots.
Slots are not interchangeable because different slots have different possible main stats.
Slots 1, 3, and 5 have fixed main stats.

Speed Main Stat
